This is a lovely hotel, rooms are spacious. Would have liked a little more tea, coffee and creamer maybe a choice of tea. It is however a little bit off the beaten track. The hotel is a 50 minute bus ride from the Chanceroy airport then we had to get 2 metros and walk for 15 minutes such a pain. The trams run very frequently right outside the hotel , you can hear them in your room we stayed in the front of the hotel on the 7th floor. The buses also run past and the metro is very close also. There are not many decent restaurants locally to the hotel. It was - 2 degrees most days we were there so not very nice to walk around in the freezing cold. Brussels main square is lovely but no different really from Bruges square. There are lots of museums which some are free to enter on certain days. Buildings of interest and parks are placed all over the city therefore it is a treck to get to them especially if it's cold. The metro stations really vary in cleanliness some are really modern and full of shops some are really dreary and really scruffy and dirty and full of homeless in groups which is quite intimidating. If you are thinking of using the metro the cheapest way is to plan your routes and get a 24 hour ticket 7.50 euros otherwise 2.30 euros each trip. Be careful when walking in the streets as the pavements are a disgrace. there are some nice parks which would probably be lovely in summer. We stayed 5 days and did a day trip to Bruges, by train 30 euros return each - go to the beer museum while you are there and get some bar snacks. Bruges is nice but you really only need a long day trip. All in all a nice trip but would only do 4 days and definitely not in winter again. The churches are beautiful leave a donation if you can when visiting this helps with the upkeep. Public toilets are not readily available and they are all 50cents to get in. Obviously you are spoilt for choice with chocolate shops - yum. Waffles are lovely too. The Chambord restaurant in the street, across the road from the hotel Bloom was really nice the staff are lovely and the food was too, not the cheapest but food was really nice. We also visited a small Bulgarian restaurant in the same street, very cheap homemade Bulgarian dishes quite nice.

I found that hotel pleasant as on previous visit. The area outside is not welcoming on a
cold night - some down market restaurants and bars only.
But my email complaint about unexplained extra charge after departure was not answered so far (one week after I sent it)

I stayed in the hotel for 2 days and the room space surprised me. Rooms were well decorated with all the required amenities.
The washroom were clean and again quite big compared to my experience in paris....

Asian receptionist gave me awarely room not matching my reservation. Noisy works at 7.45 am in the hotel close to my room. I complained to reception but they paid no attention. Very noisy air conditioned.

Amazing hotel and style. Staff courtesy, large choices at breakfast (salted and sweet), high quality of food. they offer also some food to grab at the entrance if you don't want to go out or if you arrive late. Good also the fitness room with a series of equipment to enjoy some exercise.
