A unique centrally located hotel with a style and character suited to romantic weekends, city breaks and general relaxation. Superb staff and service. where nothing is too much trouble. A must stay in Lisbon.

Wonderful hotel. Quietly elegant. Comfortable room. Bountiful breakfast. In quiet neighborhood that has surprisingly good restaurants a block or two away. But the best thing was the staffâespecially Jose Lopes and Vasco Ferreira at the front desk . It is an awful thing to get sick on vacation--but if you have to be sick, the Britania is the best place to be. I spent my week at the Britania in bed with a bad case of the flu. My husband had to cancel reservations in other cities, change travel arrangements, etc. The guys at the desk were soooo helpful to him, making phone calls, explaining our predicament, etc. They also found me a doctor in the middle of the night. And, when I finally got better, gave us great recommendations for local restaurants. Hats off to the Britania staff!!! (Next time I'm in Lisbon, I'll definitely go back to the Britania and actually see some of Lisbon, I hope.)

What an absolutely delightful hotel and excellent friendly staff. If you are looking for something which has more substance and patina to its life than the normal then this is for you. Built at the end of the Art Deco era it has so many beautifully preserved reminders but is in no way an antique but a wonderfully cosy and restful stay. The bedroom actually exceeded expectation and the vote didnât need a clever photographer making the rooms look large and accommodating, they are. The bed was so enormous that we all but had to text each other to stay in touch :-)
Many areas very walkable and central enough for anything. We canât be nice enough about the whole stay. Charming on every level and we felt very looked after. Thanks to all there. Your efforts were well appreciated and I think you strike exactly the right balance between efficiency and charm. FIVE STARS!!

Lovely restoration of a 1940's classic hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Good "uptown" location. The room was quiet, comfortable, spacious and stylishly furnished. The bathroom was updated and well-lighted.

Lovely small boutique hotel, in a peaceful location in a bustling city. Away from noisy nightlife. Lovely room with very nice breakfast. Staff very helpful & friendly. Would definitely recommend it! Worth a visit to cafe Estermine
