We had a lovely stay at the relaxing and peaceful Hotel Buddha. All staff very friendly and helpful, especially Mr. B. L. Yadaw, their resident travel guide who took us on beautiful evening and morning boat rides on the Ganges past the ghats; followed by visits to the temples of Varanasi and Sarnath. Mr. Yadaw also took us to a silk weaving factory with the most lovely items. I most highly recommend Hotel Buddha and Mr. Yadaw.

I can't understand how this hotel can be a Category 4 -- AT BEST, it's a Category 2!! The WiFi was constantly a problem -- it would go on, and then go off all the time, and you needed to call the front desk and tell them and then they sometimes can fix it, but sometimes can't. Hot water -- if you want hot water for a morning shower, I had to call the front desk and ask them to turn it on, and eventually it was hot. The TV as well as the electricity in the room went off/on randomly. The breakfast was ok, and the room was clean [by India standards]. The staff were friendly, and tried to be helpful, but they definitely need additional training. I would NOT want to stay at this hotel again! I'd LOVE to know who writes all the glowing reviews -- they must be blind; I wouldn't be surprised if the hotel writes their own reviews. This review I am writing is honest, and the wonderful reviews I read simply are not based on what I saw and experienced!

The most recommended Hotel in Varanasi. The hotel is away from the main street but incorporates a very peaceful terrace garden that pacifies the hustle and bustle of the city. While the city is very busy with cramped alleys, the hotel unwinds with a very large, airy and full of vibrant energy.
The staff is extremely helpful and family-like. Breakfast is very tasty with a mix of Indian and English style. I ordered chilli paneer and chicken masala for dinner and it was the best I ever had.
The tour guys, Raju & Rajesh were expert in their jobs and made sure everything went comfortable for me.
I booked a premium room which was well designed and very neat & clean.
They have ample parking space within the property for the people who drive down and want to keep their car safe.
Overall it was a great stay! I would definitely come here again

The rooms are great..clean..with efficient house-keeping. The hotel will give you a home like feel with its friendly and approachable staff. The location of the hotel has high connectivity to nearby sights. My first visit to Varanasi was definitely made better and memorable by the Buddha.

A true example of excellent hospitality!The rooms,the washrooms most importantly are very clean and spacious!the service is great.The owner Mr.Vinay Singh is extremely approachable and a very warm host.The food and the ambience reflect the true elements of core Varanasi.
