Heritage Small Haveli with Good Ambeince

I've visited this place 4 times & stayed twice, other 2 visits were intended to have lunch (non-veg specifically). The rooms were quite spacious with curtain partition given for sleeping & sitting area, which has wooden sofa set arrangement. They've also kept small fridge, tea-coffee maker, wooden dressing table, old style bed which gives a good mix of heritage & modernity. The walls have nature related paintings & ceilings are painted in typical Rajasthani style. The bathrooms are quite spacious, few of them has bath tub as well.

The courtyard has a fountain in the middle with casual & formal sitting space around, they've also kept couple of swings hanging to the trees. If you happen to visit during late monsoon or immediately afterwards, you can see 'baya' weaver birds making nests on to the palm trees in the courtyard.

There was a typical village style 'chulha (earthen stove)' set-up in one corner of the courtyard operational during dinner time only, you can prefer to have your meal sitting there only or inside in AC dining hall. Being a die-hard non-vegetarian I loved there 'bhuna-maans' dish, the 'laal-maans' was not as per the expectations. The 'chapatis' coming from 'chulha' directly just elevates the taste of whatever you are eating with.

The whole staff is very helpful & courteous in offering their best of service.

The place being small, lacks in terms of playing area for kids as you can not roam around being in the middle of a village on either side of the property. They've a marriage lawn nearby but that is separate from the main property to keep a vigil on the kids.

    Nice place

Good value for money... All rooms open in a courtyard where folk songs are played in evening. The cottage are slightly far from the main haveli. Staff is nice and helpful and the owner Mr Rathod is always around to take care of the guests.. Good location-away from hustle and bustle of the city and about 1 hour drive from Sariska and 30 minutes from Siliserh lake

We went there for a weekend with family from Delhi. Alwar does not have much options so we chose this because of the reviews and last minute availability.

    Pros :

    1. Property is average. Don't expect much. It's just equivalent to a 3 star amenities provider.
    2. Restaurant is good ... Food options are ok.
    3. Ambience is good ... overall a pretty average vibe when you arrive.

    Cons :

    1. Unprofessional staff... needs training.
    2. Shortage of staff... have to wait so long for almost everything.

Overall View : Average hotel ... don't expect much.

    Ok place

The ambience is awesome , the restaurant is in the front yard of the haveli . I heard a lot about this place .

We went to have lunch and it was outdoors, the food was above average. I ordered the Lal mas but the colour n taste was no where the original . The thali was few good dishes and the local breads were amazing .

The staff is very friendly and helpful , I liked the service and professionalism . Decent place to visit

Nice Heritage Property, but over priced!

The property is the best thing about Burja, a beautiful traditional Haveli, painted walls and coloured glass windows, but it is set in a very remote area and there is nothing in the area to do. We stayed here as we were travelling on to Bhangarh Fort, which is a must see!
For the price the rooms are basic, literally a sleeping area with a bathroom attached. The towels were old and the bed average.
Dinner was good, service was slow but the evening waiters were charming enough to make that not an issue. There was a traditional Rajasthani band but that also came with a dancing child asking for money as soon as we sat down...
Worst thing was the sound system that pumped out music until 4am, even with ear plugs it was hard to drown out.
Breakfast was the average buffet affair and my eggs were still white runny when they arrived.
Staff at reception very helpful with regard to ongoing travel.
