Sunday morning breakfast is incomplete without Benne Dosa and coffee. Here we head today to Samrat Restaurant in Chalukya hotel. Soft white idli dipped in sambhar to start with along with crispy vada with no extra oil glazed on it. Then comes the benne (butter) masala dosa glazed with benne and Kemp (red) chutney making it lip smacking. Masala is not too spicy but goes well with their coconut chutney which is little spicy. A bite of masala dosa dipped in the sambhar takes you on tasteful ride. The ride ends with a strong filter coffee.
They also have a drive-in option and serve on ground and first floor (AC).
P.S. Parking is an issue but thanks to their security guards who help you park your car. Avoid your vehicle if you can.

Hotel Chalukya is a good hotel in the heart of Bangalore(Bengaluru). Many of the major landmarks of the city such as Vidhana Soudha, Cubbon Park, MG Road, Chinnaswamy Stadium etc. are located near this hotel.
We stayed at this hotel for 1 night from 28.12.2017 to 29.12.2017. Our family of 7 was given 3 non-AC rooms (room nos. 309, 310 and 707). The rooms were adequately furnished, and had attached western-style toilets with hot water provision.
The hotel has a vegetarian restaurant at the ground floor. Our room tariff included complimentary breakfast and the same was provided in this restaurant. We were very satisfied with the vegetarian buffet breakfast which was offered. The hotel also has a non-vegetarian restaurant with bar at the basement level. Room service is also available.
We had a very short stay in this hotel, and were satisfied with their service.

Hotel Chalukya is ideal for frequent 1 day visit for personal or business. I have visited Bangalore for an interview, so stayed at Hotel Chalukya as it was near to Railway Station with other amenities like Bus Stand and other option to travel in Bangalore are so close.

We were staying in this hotel during our work in Banglore. The hotel is situated near Coubon park and M.G.road and Brigade road is also very nearby. But complimentary breakfast and associate hotels are ok ok. If you stay here for 5 days then u will get repeated breakfast.

Was on an outing with family and were very hungry. This was the closest location. We ordered Dosa's for all of us. And trust me. They were out of the world. Chutney was feather on the hat. Not that clean place though and staff were not that friendly. The four stars are only and only for the dosa and chutney. Hat's of to the kitchen team.
