Upon arrival I had to wait around 30 minutes for the five (!) employees to find my booking. They didn't, but eventually gave me a room. My booking was a non smoking room, but the room was a smoking room. The smell was really annoying, so I asked to change. Now, listen to this conversation:
Me: Can I have a non smoking room, please?
Employee 1: you want to smoke?
Me: No. Not at all, no smoking. I want a non smoking room, is that possible?
Employee 1: you can smoke in the room.
Me: but I don't want. I want a non smoking room, ok? No smoking.
(Employees talking)
Employee 1: your room is a non smoking room
Me: you just told me that I could smoke in the room, how can it be a non smoking room?
Employee 1: you have a non smoking room.
Me: but it is really smelly, and it bothers me. People have been smoking a lot there and I would like a non smoking room, please.
Employee 2: you have a non smoking room.

Me: ok, what can you offer me?
Employee 1: take out smell. I'm sorry.
... So I gave up, and they gave me a spray with aroma to take out the smell.
The same evening I ordered a taxi the next morning, because I wanted to go to the airport early. When i checked out the taxi was not there, so I asked where it was, and the answer was "So do you want me to call a taxi?"
Well, this is the example of bad communication, chaos and a complete mess of this hotel. They were polite, and of course - the main problem was language. However, I expect to be treated as a guest when it comes to non smoking preferences.
The room big, but boring, without a window and a bit worn. My sheet was dirty and the toilet did not flush.
Wifi: No signal in room, and in the corridor the wifi signal was good, but did not work. The only possibility was in the lobby.
Breakfast ok. Toast, jam, noodles, rice etc. No milk for cereals.
This might seem like a review written by a person who complains about everything and gives bad scores because of small issues. However, I never complain in reviews like this unless I feel it is necessary, because I know the importance of TA, yelp etc. Please check out my other reviews.

i stay there twice, the staff are quite polite, the breakfast was okay but lack of variations, the room when the first time i get there it's quite clean and the last time it's rather dirty because of stains, the location was quite good, it is near ratu indah mall and a few kilos to losari beach

Rooms are pretty ok with a small TV and bathroom, the room i stayed in could need a bit of renovation work as some parts were literarily falling apart. The location is a bit far from Pantai Losari but you can reach there by first taking a 10 minute walk from the hotel to Jln Cendrawasi and then take one of the small blue taxis they call angkota(?)/pete-pete(?)/etc. The ride will be about 15-20 minutes and costs only 3000 RP.
The best thing about this hotel is the staff and that is what makes the stay all worth it. They are extremely helpful with any kind of issues you might have. I have rarely met more helpful hotel staff than at this hotel.
You dont need to ask yourself why you should choose this hotel, instead you should ask yourself why you want to go to Makassar. If for some reason you still have to go then i would gladly recommend this hotel. If i need to go back to Makassar and stay a night again i will definitely choose this hotel again.
