After 10 hours train we were planning to stay in a nice hotel somewhere in Agra , the taxi driver who drove us manage to manipulate us to one of his commissioned hotel. His nice voice and mellow attitude to honestly just rip us of ...
we arrived late in this so called âpalaceâ, we looked at the room but havenât been very attentive about the cleaness..
one the pillow case was dirty , we ask it to be change..
We booked in , and went in the room and realise our mistake .. dirty sheets , dirty cover, rusty bathroom , no hot shower at night. We went on the roof top to have a browse , we really didnât feel the restaurant attractive and welcoming at all.
So we just wanted to spend our night and get out of there .
I still donât understand how works âtipsâ in this place , when I ask the dirty pillow case to be change , tips has been requested , and when i have been help to carry a bag 10 mètres , tips has been requested .
The manager seems very nice , perfect English , and very kind, but , nothing is very clear when we asked for bus ticket , bus station , taxi or tuktuk prices .. what to say but we were confusing and didnât really know who to trust at the end of the day ...
it was a dodgy sensation , I cannot but say that I really will never recommend this place to anyone .

I booked this hotel via booking.com and found good reviews on trip adviser,but all are incorrect.They cheated me as i booked superior room but provided 209 and 210 the worst room,saying that this is taj facing.The bathroom in room no 209 window was totaly visible and there was no curtain.In both bathrooms the jet of toilet were not working,it is dirty and not properly maintained.Services are very poor and no card payment facility.At the end the bill was also forged and handwritten,no genuine bill was given.The owner talks very politely and you will be fooled.food is okay.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Agra this is certainly worth considering. Its location puts both the Taj and Fort within walking distance. The street it is on has most of the services a tourist will need. The staff are very helpful and honest.Breakfast was ample and the wifi good. The rooftop restaurant was a relaxing oasis amongst Agra's mayhem.

Less than 400m to TajMahal. For a 1star hotel i wasn't expecting much but it turns out to be a good accommodation for 1 day, don't go for the cheap rooms price difference is not much. You can also haggle for better room at lower price with the Manager. Only Breakfast is included in room bill, they can also provide a tour guide for you to all the places in Agra.

One night stay at the hotel during our visit to the Taj. It was very cold in the month of January and the hotel staff was kind enough to give us an extra blanket even before we asked for one. Room and bathroom were ok, not very clean and upto the mark. There was no hot water in the morning which was a big disappointment. Taj mahal is justâ 5 mins walk from the hotel which is the best thing.
