The hotel was in a great location, right on the canal near shops and restaurants.
The room was comfortable, a little bit dark but still pleasant.
Staff was polite and welcoming.
Breakfast buffet was simple but good.

The second time visiting this hotel. It is quite suitable for a short stay of a few days. A good breakfast, nice bar and outdoor courtyard with protection against adverse weather conditions. It also boasts a small spa with jacuzzi and sauna and a variety of treatments. Alas, the corridors are long and dark. The room was small and basic - no cupboard and just a small plastic chair. None of this matters if you are spending most of your time in the fascinating streets and port of this really authentic seaside town in France. Lots of terrific restaurants - specializing in fish dishes - and others. Great street markets and boat rides etcetera. It is not a place that is well known to foreign tourists but make no mistake the French themselves love this place. Avoid in July/August. September probably the best month. With its canals it is clearly the Venice of France.

We recently had one night here. Thankfully the reception staff were delightful and very helpful. The hotel is well located. The rest of our stay was dismal. although spacious our room was dark and dingy. The hallways are lit with bright led strip lights and were more inviting than our room. Not having a kettle was disappointing and is quite stingy in our opinion. Unfortunately we missed this on the booking.com description. This is the first hotel at which we have stayed in the last six weeks that has not provided a kettle. The wifi connection was ok but the internet speed was woefully slow so much so that we gave up trying to access our emails. A very disappointing experience overall and we cannot recommend this hotel at all and would not stay here again.

In hotel at moment, girl very helpful when we arrived as to parking directions, she came out to my husband & explained.. (â¬10 a night parking charge which is ok) on getting to room safe wasn't accessible to instructions, ð¡ as we found with other hotel we stayed in Opal hotel, will check with staff in morning ð fridge didn't chill either, room small but clean, lamp shade I felt like buying a new one & replacing, I'm not house proud but thought little things don't cost much.. & I found no English speaking channels on TV or Sub Titles for us, even in our country Ireland ð®ðª we have subtitles stations, just say'n! Hotel nice & Central but Restraunts didn't seem to open till 6pm'ish, staff in hotel & bar very friendly ð

Hotel in a perfect location - couldn't be better. Right in the centre of Sete, by the canal. Bed very comfortable and we slept well. The rooms are quirky, dark and need a little updating and refreshing. But it was clean, the bathroom was good, bed and pillow very comfy and the breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice. its my second trip to this hotel and the staff have been excellent each time. We came to the music Festival at the Theatre de la Mer in Sete. highly recommend it. Some nice seafood food in local restaurants - look out for the fantastic Michelin Starred fish restaurant by the cemetery.
