There is no exaggeration with a stay at hotel diplomat. Everything is real....the moments....the outings.... the tours.... the welcoming ambience... Mr Merab with his associates are awesome. Looking forward to another trip to Georgia..... having chacha with Mr Karen.....Khinkali......#I love Georgia.

The hotel has a good view of a mountain, good air, so quiet and the room was ideal clean (super clean). upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. this is not 4/5 star hotel or so but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home in another word it's warm and cozy. The staff were extremely friendly, they were all exceptionally helpful. The front desk staff went all the way to help you with particularly anything- special thanks to Merab " You are an angel." I am sure if there is next time I will stay there

We had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Diplomat. We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids 8 & 4) and we can't fault the hotel. We were in room 37; it was spacious and spotlessly clean. The housekeeping staff were excellent and always waited the extra time for us to depart. The room had all we needed and also a small balcony. 2 very small things that did not impede our stay: the plug for the bath was missing (but we.managed and also took showers) and only Georgian and Russian channels on TV (not important for us). The hotel was very clean and staff were always available to help. The breakfast was good with a delicious and sufficient variety of foods. We were there for New Years so there was even champagne and traditional Georgian sweets. Best of all about this hotel was the outstanding hospitality and support of the staff, most notably Merab, who helped us with everything- transfers, advice, going over and above to help me when I had a cold bringing me a traditional Georgian cold cure ð. he was kind, professional and courteous at all times and so delightful with our children. Big shout out also to George who was equally kind and just wonderful with our children always playing with them and looking after them. The location of the hotel was fine, approx 20 mins to Freedom Sq walking with the kids. It's calm and peaceful. We arrived to Tbilisi by train and got to the hotel at 8.30am and as our room was free they checked us in straight away with no extra charge amazing thank you so much for a great stay.

We stayed at this hotel from Nov 29 - Dec 3. Not our choice - it was arranged by the travel agent. Breakfast included - pretty decent selections of food. The hotel was really clean & nice. It was not very strategically located though but Freedom Square was just 10 minutes away - a bit of walking but it was fine for us. I'm writing this review because I think the staff were all exceptionally helpful - the front desk staff went all the way to help you with practically anything - thanks to Lizi (especially). You 're such an angel.

Our stay was a huge disappointment. The hotel is nowhere near four stars by any standards. There are several reasons for that and the totality made this the worst hotel we've stayed in, and the price is way to high to accept that. The rooms were cold and we did not receive duves when asking for it. The airconditioner remote stopped working, leaving us too cold to sleep for two nights in a row. We talked to the reception every time, with no luck. The reception wasn't able to communicate or help, they seemed annoyed when addressing the issues.The breakfast was poor, they did not serve coffee, the bathroom and the hotel room floor looked dirty. We felt we were scammed.
