Nice place to stay. It was a little bit cold inside because of wind. I set heat of radiator to maximum and then it was pretty good.
A little bit noisy in the street in the early morning.
The staff was very pleasant.

This hotel has a central location in the city. It is a basic hotel with all needed for a couple of nights were you really just want a clean and nice spot to sleep. The room was clean but clearly needed to be refurbished as the woods are old and presented the need to be changed. Breakfast was ok. At the end good value for your money when going on business.

All surfaces in the room including the Bed covered in layer of dust. The room obviously hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Complained to Reception and member of staff just came up with a towel and swatted the bed, sending all the dust circulating around the room in which I'm supposed to sleep. Told no other rooms free and that they couldn't change the bedclothes because there was no one else to cover Reception. I insisted on a change of duvet cover because it was filthy and the member of staff reluctantly gave one to me but asked me to change it myself. He then said he could change it "if it was impossible" for me to do it myself, like I'm some kind of imbecile. I'm sorry but you don't pay over â¬150 to stay in a Hotel and be told to clean the dirty room yourself. He seemed to think that was unreasonable and said I "talk too much"! He didn't even take dirty bedclothes away. Just left them dumped in the room. I've stayed here 3 times now, only because other local hotels have been fully booked and I have to visit Brussels for work but they're all very basic, tiny bathrooms and not good value for the price. They obviously just take advantage of the high demand in the area. Breakfast is particularly poor value at â¬9 for cold meat and cheese and a yoghurt or the option to cook your own egg! It's like a Youth Hostel. Now wouldn't even come back if I was desperate!

There are lots of positive things about this hotel - the location is perfect, the staff are really friendly and helpful, and the small courtyard is absolutely lovely! We stayed in a room for three and were really satisfied with the service.

I spent a weekend at Hotel du Congres with my son. The main building of the hotel looks fine, but a lot of rooms are outside of the hotel in other buildings. So you have to leave the hotel to go to your room in another building, which is a small hassle when you have breakfast included. The building I stayed at was one door further, with steep stair case. Rooms are very noisy due to no insulation what so ever. People using the stairs at night will definitely wake you up even without them having a conversation.
Was ok for a weekend but did not sleep well and would not book this hotel again for this price.
