its not the greatest of hotels the room was small but cosy the beds so comfortable the lift was a nightmare but we worked it out in the end the reception staff were very friendly and its in a great location i liked it

Certainly not the hotel and pictures they advertise in websites. This hotel is basically a scam and a health hazard. Avoid at all costs, it was that bad that we had to pay for a second hotel to stat at!!!!
We asked to complain and we were told to "do it via the website" when we know that by law the have to give us at least the option to complain.

The hotel is in a good location in the centre of Lisbon. But it is very old, the room was to small to open the suitcases. In the bathroom is is almost impossible to pass the bath and get to the toilet. The bedlinnen was very dirty, with hairs end stains. No airco, an old ventilator with lots of dust. Opening the window was no option, because of a lot of noise and baking smells coming in. Breakfast was horrible as well. The elevator didnot stop on the right floor one time.

The location is very good. Apart from the friendly receptionists, one of whom had little, if any, local knowledge, we could not recommend this hotel to anyone. Indeed it is NOT a hotel. It IS a bed and breakfast solely, there being no facilities, or bar.
The room was tiny and not well thought out.
The bathroom was a mystery - the mystery being how anyone with common sense could plan it.
It was IMPOSSIBLE to sit on the loo because of the tiny space between the seat and the wall, made worse by the clever positioning of the loo roll holder within this tiny space. You had to sit sideways! The shower was a nightmare, any movement within the very tiny cubicle causing you to either, strike the doors knocking them off their rollers (which were a tight squeeze to clamber through in any event), or turn the water off because of the clever positioning of the control. In nearly 60 years of hotel stays I've NEVER experienced one so bad. And my wife and myself are slim. Goodness help anyone slightly overweight.
There was not even a kettle or desk in the room to make up for the lack of facilities. The breakfast room ran out of both knives and large plates on two consecutive mornings (we left early the third). On receiving a polite and friendly request for these items, the waitress rudely lectured my wife on the use of small plates which would barely hold a bread roll.
There were no bannisters on the hotel staircase, making them difficult to use for anyone a little unsteady on their feet and although there is one antiquated lift, this was not always easy to get.

Very small room, no aircondition, water stucked in the sink, Bulbs in the bathroom not switching on, bed sheets dirty, got stuck in lift and had to wait for a whole hour to get out and to make matters worse lift did not work for a whole 3 days. Imagine had to stay going up and down till the 4th. floor all the time even for our departure. Total disaster.
To be honest only 2 things were ok the location of the hotel just there at the centre and the wifi.
