The room was fairly small but clean with a balcony and ac. The wifi was great and fast and the staff spoke English, were friendly and helpful. However the shower was very small! (a problem if you are over 6 foot) very good location next to metro which goes to shibuya and shinjuku centre. Tv was good as well. Shops nearby and also a laundromat 1 minute away which was helpful.

Stayed for 5 nights. Small rooms as expected did 2 people but we did have to jump over our luggage. The bathroom was smaller than on a cruise ship. The size didn't bother us it was the dirtiness of the room. Hair on the bed, table full of sticky stuff with dust stuck to it, mattress stained, no top sheet just doona and in summer was hot to not have a sheet, PowerPoint were behind bed but with the size of the room could not reach so we had to unplug tv and fridge to charge our phones. Wifi was good but you have to hand key back as you leave and collect when you come back, one night there was no one at reception and we waited 20mins before someone came back just to get our key. Overall it was okay but are better quality places nearby for the same price you pay.

I was fooled by the photos shown by Expedia. It looks way worse than the photos. The bathroom is tiny that if you turn around, you will probably touch the wall or the toilet. The sink and the bathtub shares the same tap. The shower curtain was a bit stuck when I pulled as the buckles are rusty. There is a pole in the room which looks a bit strange.
The only thing good is that the location is convenient. It only take a 5-min walk to the JR station. The staff is polite and speak good English. The bed is comfy but the pillow is too flat.

Price a lot for what you get. Small room ok for short stay. Excellent location. Wifi was good. Little bar downstairs very friendly and good to have a few drinks in. Staff friendly, clean. Bathroom is not built for anyone taller than a hobbit. But space is used well.

Our first hotel in Tokyo during a 3 week trip to Japan. Really easy to find and only a 3 minute walk from the Shin-Okubu metro station (left out of the station, walk for 70m then take the first left after McDonalds, Hotel Empire Shinjuku can be found 200m up on the right. Super friendly staff with good level of English, really small room, but for the price we paid through a third party booking website we couldn't complain, it was clean, had free A/C, plenty of hot and cold running water, fridge, TV. There was free password protected internet for each floor, but it was pretty hit and miss as to the quality. All in all it covered the basics.
