The hotel is downriver from Rishikesh by a couple kilometers. The walk to town along the river is safe (we walked it at night several times)....and truly magnificent.
The first bridge (Rham Jula) requires a tuk-tuk as does the second bridge (Lacksman Jhula....a bit further).
Having said this, the view from the hotel is priceless....overlooking the foothills of the Himalayas and a park. We saw wild elephants drinking at the river.
Overall the distance from town and the bridges was worth it as the walk along the river was truly a one of a kind opportunity.
The food at the hotel was outstanding and I am not typically a hotel food person.

We are at this place for our family trip. This is beautiful riverside location hotel. when early in the morning we wake up we can see the joyful seen of Holy Ganga River. Very nice place. this is we can say situated between the way of haridwar and Rishikesh

We have been der for our family trip at rhishikesh. Our stay is excellent the view is awsome quality of food is too good.the nature of mr deep (manager) and the chef is too generous. Spa is awsome. We recommend your stay at ganga kinare.

I visited this Ganga-Kinare last month along with my wife. I got to know about this place from my father-in-law who strongly suggested that I should stay there if I am planning a trip to Rishikesh. I stayed here for 3 days, and found it to be truly amazing. Some things I really liked about this place are:
1. Courteous and polite staff dressed in typical Indian traditional attire. I interacted with most of them during my stay, and found them extremely humble, caring for their guests and prompt at services. I would like to mention specifically about Mr. Deep and his team who are doing wonderful service towards all the guests staying at this place. He took great efforts in enlightening us about this place and told us about various things and places we can explore. Also, I would like to thank Mr. Ranjit, who is the security guard at Ganga Kinare, he is truly one of the amazing people I met here. He told me and my wife, the entire ancient story about how Ganga came to earth and related sequence of events from Indian holy books and I was amazed to see his knowledge about Indian culture and Indian history.
2. Ganga Kinare has its own private ghat that is accessible from inside the hotel campus only. I and my wife took holy bath in this ghat in ice-cold waters here, and it was truly a great experience
3. The hotel also provides bicycles so that you can explore places nearby or just take a carefree ride along riverside, appreciating the beauty of nature and magnificence of Ganges
4. The backside of hotel in on the banks of river, where no vehicles are allowed and there a very nice track where you can take walk . This road goes to straight to Triveni Ghat on one end and a river dam on other side. You can drive your bicycle here
5. The hotel conducts Ganga Aarti every morning and evening , which is a beautiful thing to attend. It also has Ganga temple on the premises.
6. Room service, cleanliness and restaurant is awesome. During meal times, the dining area also has some artist playing flute or harmonium, which is a truly soothing experience
7. The buffet spread is awesome and completely vegetarian. The taste of the food is really good.
There are many more things about this place that you will explore, one you visit this place. I give it a 10 on 10. I would like to stay here everytime I visit Rishikesh

Beautiful riverside location. Waking up to see the Ganga River from the room balcony is a joyful experience. The views from the restaurant are peaceful. Food was delicious. Being able to complete Ganga snan at the hotel's dock was a fulfilling experience, made pleasant by being able to go to the room and dry off and warm up.
