We booked this place because of the price point. They have airport pickup for 10 OMR. We booked for 4 nights. The room we had was spacious. No smoking but it smells like someone has just smoked in the room. Breakfast was OK. You can ask them about car rental. We got one just next to the hotel. Price was reasonable and you can pay cash (no credit card needed). There is a Hypermarket across the road if you need anything and also a money changer in there (rates are quite good). All staff were friendly and helpful if you need anything.
What we didn't like about this hotel is they have a function hall on the first floor and people who have their events here will have very loud music up to midnight. The hotel has 5 floors. 1st floor is the event hall and 5th floor is the restaurant. You can't really run away from the noise. The hotel probably don't get a lot of tourists so events (wedding, birthday parties etc) is probably one of their biggest income. Don't stay here on weekends if you want a good night sleep especially if you need to be up early in the morning. We arrived on a Sunday night, they had a wedding party. On Thursday night, they had another party and both went on til midnight. One of the nights someone had their music loud at 3AM and it woke us up. A night or two not on weekends is OK to stay.

We had a day room at this hotel before our 1am flight back to the US via Europe and it was not good. I don't usually write bad review but I wish we had read the reviews before we decided to spend our last few hours in Oman at this hotel. I don't think there are any non-smoking rooms or floors (everything has the strong odor of cigarette smoke), the carpet is dirty and the rooms dark and dingy. The person that called this hotel an oasis must be part owner. If I had it to do over again I would get an upgraded room at the Majan Continental Hotel which is a short 15 minute drive from the airport and forget about the so called .

Unexpectedly great! Right from the welcome drink! Delicious food and nice rooms. The staff was very helpful, especially the housekeeping department. The reception is one of the most well equipped ones. Overall, a nice experience.

We were looking for a hall to accomodate about 70 people for a celebration and one of our friends recommended the hall at the Golden Oasis. Previously we used to have this celbration at another hall but decided to give this a try since it fit our budget.
Boy, were we surprised at the value we got compared to the old place.
The hall is very spacious and well lit. I think it can accomodate more than 150 people. Next criteria was the food which was very tasty. Staff was very helpful in meeting all our demands.
Definitely recommended for any of your family functions.

The room is dying for upgrade. Torn towels. No pillow cover . One torn towel between 2 people. No hand towels and no bath mat.
Sheets feel so thin that you feel it may tear when you turn.
Room size is good. Could again be upgraded.
Breakfast basic but waiters are good went out the way to make hot items.
Staff is very good and receptive.
Nice massage in the hotel.
If you want to stay a night may be ok else avoidable.
