Stayed there for one night to attend a family wedding in January 2018. It is a small, budget hotel, in a bylane off the main road. Very well located for Ruby Hospital as well as for Science City and other attractions in the vicinity.
The staff is very polite. There is a breakfast room on the ground floor which provides simple food - parathas, bread, bananas etc. The steward will take your clothes and get them ironed at a roadside ironing service.
Hiland hotel is a budget hotel. The room and toilet are tiny but they try to keep it clean. Better to carry your own towels though:-) There is a hot water kettle in the room for tea/ coffee.
OK for a budget stay.

I have stayed here for two nights on an official visit. The service is very prompt. The food is good and not costly. Room tariff is economical for Kolkata city. The location is good. Lots of sweets shops, malls, sciencity, etc nearby. I liked the stay.

Stayed here only for 1 Night and OMG - Dirty Rooms, Torn Bed-Sheets, Dirty Towels , Broken Shower, Broken Lights, Noise , etc.etc.. Breakfast also not at all good, cold food when asked to bring hot they simply refuse

A good value for money spent. The hotel is quite centrally located and although compact is reasonably clean and quite comfortable, The other amenities are all available very close by.
Although a Bed & Breakfast place, it can serve you meals on emergency occasions.
