Fine place to stay. Ease of access and within town. Superb breakfast. My only reservation was the price of bottled water which sold for #800. Even when I lost my key card, it was replaced at no cost. Nice place.

I stayed at the Ibis Ikeja for two nights during a business trip to Lagos. A mixed bag, but on balance a decent experience relative to the price.
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. It was easy to enlist a driver for excursions away from the hotel. The lobby, pool area and restaurant were well maintained and cheery (in the Ibis way--I've stayed at Ibis hotels in Brazil, India and Indonesia, and the services at the Ibis Ikeja measure up to the best of those experiences). The food was surprisingly good, with some nice Nigerian options.
Cons: The room was comfortable, but rough around the edges. There was an MTV Real World: Lagos vibe to the place in the evening--loud music played in the pool area until midnight both weeknights I was there; though I don't know what the rooms are like on the side of the hotel opposite the pool, I would recommend asking for one of them, unless you like to sleep with earplugs.

Like the African Queen in that Bogart Hepburn movie this hotel does the job and ends happily. The rooms are smaller than average, bathrooms are small, shower doors sometimes don't shut fully finishings are rough but adequate much like the african queen.
some rooms the fridge works others they don't there is complementary water. the beds are comfortable air conditioning functions. be prepared for power failures and some times the back up generator has not functioned for many hours I generally take the stairs.
Be early for breakfast and the bake beans are often overdosed with chilli.
Never had a bad meal here though sometimes there is a wait for it to reach the table.unlike the germans in "african queen" staff are friendly.

The hotel is good despite being in a rough neighbourhood. The customer service was average and took quite some time to check-in which was not so good especially when you arrive late in the night. There is room for improvement.

Excellent Location with easy access to amenities. Food was great.Security was good. Comfortable Room. Their offer of Airport Transfer was icing on the cake. It was a very good value for money and it is recommended
