The room was nice, bigger than most we have had in Japan. We walked to the hotel from Shinkansen train. The hotel is right next to the station, it was so convenient. We walked across to Osaka nice walk across bridge. The people at the hotel were lovely. The toiletries are very nice. We had complimentary water. The gym is average, a few weights a couple of benches, a treadmill and a bike. So many good inexpensive places to eat within and under the station.There is also a very good supermarket and 24 hour day 711 within a few blocks. Would stay again.

We stayed here for two nights towards the end of our trip to Japan. The hotel is right next to the train station which is great. Room is also a good size. The issue we had was with the hotels lack of cleaning staff. We left the hotel and explored Osaka all day and came back to find our room was still not cleaned by 3:30pm. When the cleaning staff eventually got to our room they were friendly and kind, however stated they required 20mins to clean the room. We just got towels and declined the rest as we had been on our feet all day and wanted to relax before dinner and not sit in the lobby and wait. Check in time for the hotel is 3pm so youâd assume the rooms would have been serviced by then. I think the Marriott need to invest in more housekeeping staff so this doesnât occur.

Great location: the hotel is minutes from the JR Shin-Osaka station. Rooms are large and clean. Service staff is attentive. Breakfast has enough choices for everyone. Recoomended for those who need to get to the shinkansen quickly.

The Location of this Marriott is excellent, literally 2min walk from the Station Entrance. The service, well not as good as the Tokyo version of the same property (Tokyo Station). Having said that the room here are more spacious with a better view, so a plus for that part.

if you are going with elder or kids, this is one of the best hotel you must choose in Osaka, you only need to take 2 stations from airport to this hotel by JR, after you take off from train, you can go to the hotel by elevator without any upstairs by walk.
Shin Osaka is also a main station, if you need to take JR/Train, you can easily go to Kyoto, Kobe & Nara. You do not need to keep changing the JR/Train lines
Moreover, Shin Osaka after over 20 restaurants just within the stations, it also have 2 small supermarkets, and also 7-11 & Daily. However, they are not 7/24 hrs, everything inside the Shin Osaka Station will close before 23:00~23:00.. Except there is a Mc Donald open until 25:00 (1:00am)
If you would like to find a 7-24 hours 7-11 or Family Mart, you just need to have 2 minutes walk from the Hotel.
Facilities: There is no swimming pool in this hotel, but there is a gym room in Ground Floor. The lobby of this hotel is located in "L" floor or 1st floor. And the hotel rooms are located from 4/F or higher. but the whole building is lower than 20/F. Therefore, do not expect a really good view from the window of the room. the top floor is 19/F which is a hotel, there is around 3 to 4 restaurant inside the hotels.
This is my first time to stay in a hotel under Marriott Group, everything meet the standard. All the staffs are really nice, Services quality is good, room condition is good, room size is a lot bigger than you stay in downtown. As a payoff, you need to take around 3 stations Umeda, and around 7 stations to Nambo. not really good but also not really bad.
P.S you could buy the Osaka 1 day or 2 day pass @ check-in counter of the Hotel
