Lovely property to stay in

Beautiful haveli which has been very beautifully restored. Kudos
It was owned by Seth Malji, who went overseas and got it made as per Italian design in 1924. The building is slightly at an angle deliberately, so that from the entrance you do not get a direct view of the main hall inside, as columns obstruct the view for privacy. It has a lot of carvings and figures which are still in perfect condition. There are 12 rooms in total, all very spacious and nice. The rooms of 1st floor have walls and roof painted by artists when it was constructed, which have not been touched upon, to keep the antique heritage look alive.
The 2 rooms on the roof are very comfortable and modern, one of which I stayed in. Huge terrace and a sit out to enjoy the winter breeze and sun.
The lawn is very spacious and kids can really enjoy. In the evening they have local singers singing and dancing traditional folk songs. Very soothing with bonfire to keep you cozy in the winter chill. They have a push cart which is a make shift bar in the lawn to enjoy your evening drink, if you so want.
The food is simple and homely. We were a group of 19 adults and children and we were very well looked after by the staff and owners - Arvind, Kshitij and Narayan. All 3 are rallyist and off roaders. They took us to near by sand dunes for dune bashing as all the SUVs we have are 4x4, and that was the one of the reasons to stay here. It was pure fun. You are sure pampered and very well taken care of, when the owners are there with you at the property all the time. The staff is extra helpful too.
They send a person with you who takes on a Churu heritage city walk. You can see all the old havelis, most are ill kept as the owners have all long gone and moved to Kolkata. There is a haveli which has 11000 windows... it was a wow as we walked around it. Good evening comfortable walk. Found a cart which was selling peanuts. I asked him if they were roasted or raw, to which he said they all are well roasted and you will enjoy, with utmost confidence. He was damn right. They were yummy and we enjoyed eating them on the way back to the haveli.
Would recommend the property to all who dont mind driving 5+ hours on a super tarred highway from Delhi. Do explore Rajasthan as it is beautiful.
I would not recommend this place to people who cannot climb stairs as there are only stairs everywhere.

I love Malji and Churu!

I adored my stay at Malji Ka kamra. Churu just captured my heart wonderfully. I have stayed in many heritage hotels in India and a lot of them get it right, but Malji was just so much fun. I have stayed in Oberoi and Aman before, and I wouldnt try and compare luxury, but for heart and soul, I just loved it. Really fun activities and the owners even let me use a lovely Royal Enfield motorcycle for a couple of days. Food was lovely and portions big. The evening sunset meal was a total treat as well. Churu itself was one of the friendliest towns i've been to in India. Well worth 2 days of any trip to Rajasthan! My room had a balcony overlooking the garden which was perfect for a beer!
Beyond expectations

We recently went to Churu and decided to stay in Malji Ka Kamra. Churu is not a very well known place and there are not many things that you can do, is what we had heard from all people.
When we reached Churu we felt that it may not be a good decision after all.
But it all changed when we reached our hotel Malji Ka Kamra. The owner of hotel and the staff ensured that we get best out of our stay.
To begin with the hotel was just amazing... the rooms in its old architecture were beautifully done. Thought it is a heritage property but all care has been taken to ensure all modern comforts are available in the rooms. Everyone in our group were awe stuck.
The hotel had given option to us for dinner in dunes which we had agreed. We never imagined the level of arrangements these guys had made, the place in dunes was beautifully done. I would say international standards
We had so many things to do in the 4 days we we spent there. Heritage walks, market visits, off-roading, cultural talks, night desert drive and so much more.
This trip was a very special experience as the owners and staff took personal interest which led to them thinking about minutest of details which preparing.
Would highly recommend the hotel and their awesome food.
Thank you guys for such an amazing hospitality

Four of us senior citizens, friends from school were looking for a couple of nights close to Delhi. Rest, relaxation and comfort. Located Malji Ka Kamra after a bit of research on the net and travel groups. TripAdvisor reviews were excellent so decision made. The experience was good right from the first mail. Prompt response (which I value a lot). Arvind Balan, Deepak and Shivani responded readily to all my queries. Gave us competitive rates and assured us of a good experience. The drive from Delhi wasn't too comfortable as roads in Haryana were not too good and lacked signage. But the beautiful yellow mustard fields were a treat to the eyes. The first glimpse of the property floors you. The imposing facade, the big green lawn and the warm welcome told us we had made the right decision. Huge rooms adequately furnished and lighted. Decent and clean toilet and balconies to boot. Couldn't be better. The food by Chef Manoj was simple but tasty. Indian food. The staff was very polite and discreet. Arvind and his wife Mrinal (of the owner family) made it a point to spend time with us. Told us about the history of the property and the havelis and suggested what to do. Really appreciate that personal touch. They have an in house guide - Lal Singh, a treasure trove of knowledge of all things local and related to the beautiful havelis in the region. He was an important highlight of the trip. Good food, good hosts, good property and Lal Singh to boot, don't need any more. Thanks also to Iqbalji for helping us and all the staff.
What a surprize!

We were looking for unexplored place for christmas vacation this year where we were suggested to visit this place in Churu (Raj.) along with 2 other friend's and their families we planned this place. We spent 2 nights and 3 days in Malji Ka Kamara it was one of the best refreshing vacation we had in recent past. During the day, very courteous staff of MKK will take care of your schedule and if you like to take some city heritage tours/artisans' tour they will very carefully accompany and take good care at nominal price. There are plenty of Havelis which we visited and very closely walked to the history how in ancient time those Marwari families were living lavishly in the past. It is delighted to hear about the history behind the Kotharis and Suranas and their business in particular and got to see some marwari culture in general. The staff at Malji is outstanding, the moment you land at this place you will feel like home, such a grand home.... the rooms are like where you can feel very special. Every evening there would rajasthani folk/music which you can enjoy. One of the activity we like the most was Sun Downer at sand dunes. we really enjoyed a quick jeep ride on dunes followed by camel ride and snacks while watching sun going down the horizon. It was extremely good experience. Lawn in front of the Malji ka kamara was best place for family activities like badminton, tennis ball cricket and kids really enjoyed every bit of it and had very nice experience. Overall wonderful experience.
