Hotel was in a brilliant location, on the main road from the central station. 10 minutes walking distance from pretty much everything. Hotel was better than we thought it would be due to past reviews and the staff were very friendly. However, the room we were in was freezing as there was a draft coming through the window and causing the window to rattle so didnât get a good nights sleep. Bed clothes had make up stains on the pillows and streaks on the duvet of god knows what. Bathroom was very modern and the shower powerful but the bathroom flooded every time we used it and the shower curtain was stinking. All in all not bad but could do with a good clean.

I stayed here in 2001 and this place was terrible. Stayed here again in January 2018 and it's all been recently refurbished so has a modern feel. The room was small with no windows but perfect if you need somewhere central just to sleep. Location is excellent.

We were scared about the other reviews of this hotel, who talked about rats, who talked about very dirty rooms. We found a perfect 1 star hotel, with a standard breakfast included (not good but enough to be a good day start). The room was cleaned everyday. There is no lift but if you are not old people it is fun to go up and down through these typical Amsterdam stairways.
The positions is the best ever found in my Amsterdam trips. You cannot smoke in the room but we had a big window to use to smoke outside.
Staff very polite. A lot of them knows italian like the beautiful girl at the hall in the afternoon.

I stayed in this hotel for 10 days in my participation for Amsterdam International Art Fair 2017. The place is easy to find and in between many Coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Prices are low compared to the other hotels in the similar location but the facilities are now enough and low. However it is a manageable place in busy Amsterdam city.

The hotel is easy to find on damrak near the railway station.you go up a flight of dirty stairs to reception,very helpful staff who allowed us to check in 2 hours early.perhas they felt sorry for us ,it was snowing outside and bitterly cold.
My single room was clean with a bathroom and shower.the room is tiny it has a tv and a safe.the twin room was also tiny with the 2 single beds end to end.breakfast is next door in a steakhouse and was ok.the hotel guests are all eastern Europeans.overall the hotel is ok but if you can afford somewhere better, I would do.
