If a great quality breakfast is at the top of your priorities when choosing a hotel, Miró is as good as you can find in Bilbao. In fact, its basic breakfast menu is called BBB, which stands for Brown Bread Bag, but it could equally be Best Breakfast Bilbao. All ingredients are top quality (not only the spectacular bread, but butter, jam, marmalade, pastry, olive oil, ...). And they also offer a complete a la carte menu (exquisite scrambled eggs, healthy toasts, pancakes,...). But you don't need to be a hotel guest to enjoy this breakfast (this was our case, so our assessment of Miró is just for its breakfast). So if you happen to visit Bilbao and want to indulge yourself with a succulent morning meal a few yards from the Guggenheim, don't miss it. A most satisfying experience.

The hotel was modern clean and well staffed. At 134 euros a night it was quite reasonable. Our breakfast was included which (for 2 of us ) was bread and jams coffee and fruit or yougurt. The breakfast was tasty and served by a wonderful woman who offered us great advice so we tipped very generously.
The room was spacious with windows that had a view of the Guggenheim. The bed and pilllows were above average and comfortable. There was some street noise on the 5th floor. Room 52. Including the light rail that runs (oddly) early in the morning. I say oddly because nothing including the birds moves in this town before 9 oâclock. The other side of the hotel was quieter.
Overall the location and amenities are excellent considering how low season we were. Nothing wrong with staying here and being comfortable

The location is excellent in that the Guggenheim Museum is just minutes away. There is also a parking garage just across the street which is very convenient. In the immediate area are ATMs, restaurants and everything you need for a successful and pleasant visit.

Stayed here for 3 nights in January and very pleasant. Rooms spacious and quiet and beds comfortable with slippers and dressing gowns. Shower good but a little annoying in that the bathroom and toilet floor got very wet after a shower! They didnât replenish the toiletries each day which we found a little odd too. Breakfast all very local and fresh, and service good. Nice location just opposite the Guggenheim. Honesty bar downstairs with free tea and coffee, sweets and popcorn to help yourself to, and also alcohol at a reasonable extra cost (just write in the book what youâve had). Would stay again.

This was my first time in Bilbao, and I had originally booked a different hotel across the river. I changed my reservation to this property due to what I thought was a location closer to the airport bus stop (not really & a bit confusing). I was able to get a good rate that included breakfast & tix to the Guggenheim. Taking the bus from the airport (E1.45), I thought the first stop was 1/2 block from the hotel (as per the bus website), but I ended up nowhere near, some helpful locals were able to direct me to the correct place. I arrived about 1:45pm, and was told check in was open at 2pm, but I could wait in the lobby and have complimentary beverages/snacks as well as being given the access code for free wifi. At 2, a staff member came over to check me in, and give me my free tix etc. I was told breakfast was available at 7am the next day, but unfortunately I would be leaving at 6:30am, I was assured coffee would be set out in the lobby. My room 421 was fine, with a fantastic view of the Guggenheim, river and distant mountains. Bathroom had a nice sized shower & sink with a curtain separating it from the bed area. The toilet was in a separate room. There was a mini fridge stocked, but no coffee/tea maker. Decor was fine, with a window seat overlooking the view, 2 large windows opened wide, although with the prevailing rain, I kept them closed. I didn't see any restaurant on site, and the lobby lounge had a variety of beverages/snacks set out. There was an honor bar with wine/champagne/beer at E3.
The next day, at check out, I asked about coffee, and was met with a shrug, the lobby bar area was dark & locked so no luck. I was told where to get the bus back to the airport, but at the assigned stop, was told by locals that it doesn't stop there anymore, and I ended up walking about 8 blocks to Plaza Moyua (next to the Carlton Hotel) in the dark rain at 6:30am.
