We were bargain hunting for our very last minute visit to Tokyo and thought we would go for a luxury room advertised at Monterey at a substantial discount. The room ended up being a par-for-the course hotel room, so not the great deal we were expecting. Maybe we just haven't grasped some aspect of the system, but we were pretty sure the room did not come with the features promised.
Other than that, a perfectly fine stay. Helpful staff, very handy location, and typical hotel amenity. It's just missing that stand out "something" (e.g. a comfortable lounge area, historic features, pool access).

Room is pretty spacious for 2 person with 2 medium size luggage. I like the hotel amenities, it's so complete and they add new every day. Walking distance to many option of station (subway or tokyo station). Walking distance to Ginza main street. Near mini market. There's food choice too nearby. Overall I like to stay in this hotel again.

The hotel is near Ginza main street and easy to access from Tokyo station (taxi fare: ~ 700-900 JPY). The room is small but clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly, their English is adequate.

Hotel Monterey Ginza is very handily situated being near 2 subway stations and a 15 minute walk from Tokyo main station. Ginza is a great place to stay in Tokyo. The hotel is old fashioned (1950s) but stylish and the breakfast room is very attractive with an OK breakfast. My only disappointment was the beds. The beds and pillows were hard and some people think that is good for you, but I don't. I don't think you should have to be stoic to go to bed.

Staying at this hotel is like staying the center of Ginza. A few steps away there is an entrance to the Ginza Itchome subway station of Yurakucho line. It is very close to many department stores Ginza has to offer. Ginza subway station of Marunouchi, Ginza and Hibiya lines is also 5 min away. It was super convenient for shopping and sightseeing.
The room was clean, neat and comfortable size. I should have chosen a breakfast package but there is a convenience store where you get some food for breakfast. This is a nice hotel to stay.
