Just about OK

Stayed at the hotel recently. The property is built nicely. The location too in bang on the highway but still you dont feel like you are staying on a busy highway. They have various amenities, like swimming pool, gym etc.
The biggest issue here is maintenance. The pool was is a bad shape. Water was not clean, shower area was smelly. Same was the case with the restaurant. The rates at the restaurant are very high. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very murky. Didnt feel like having food there.
Room was nice. Bathroom smelled bad. Housekeeping guys spent half an hour to get over the problem and had to spray lot of room freshener.
The staff was polite but took their own sweet time to cater to the requests. I think there were very few houskeeing boys at the hotel.
Wifi was available only in the lobby with hardly any speed.
If the owners take care of various issue, (which is easily possible) this can be an excellent property in the vicinity.
Average place

We had a stay in the standard room recently. The experience was not that good. Food was ok. Improvement needed on cleanliness. The most irritating part of our stay here was that the basic amenity of 24 HR hot water was not met. We were getting cold water and even after bringing to the notice one day prior, no action was taken. They were not ready to believe and kept checking the issue. Only after there were complaints from other customers they realised the problem. Inspite of having extra rooms we were not given an option of changing the room. Only after we requested, this was fulfilled. All this wasted our time and we were late at a place we had to reach. At the time of payment the person at the reception instead of being apologetic behaved in rude manner. Really disgusting.
Amazing Stay..............During Rains!!!

Visited the place with my husband, middle of the week as its less expensive then, in July 2017. we just wanted a relaxed time out during rains.
Location:
the hotel is located on the mumbai goa highway and our room had forest view on the opposite side of highway. It is 1 or 1.5 kms from the main market where you can buy fresh cashews and kokum juice.
Property & Amenities :
the property is quite good and well maintained. Walking in and around the property in rains was an amazing feeling. they have two restaurants one next to lobby and another on the ground floor.
They also have swimming pool which is not temperature controlled but we enjoyed a lot, so even though it was raining heavily, the infinity pool was a great hangout place. they have a gym and massage / spa next to pool but spa services is only for gents and my husband had a relaxing Aroma therapy massage which was only 750 rupees
Rooms:
the rooms are also good... we had room No. 406 on the top floor, which was average in size but had a good view. the rooms were well maintained, even in the monsoon there were no insects in the rooms. for leisure its a greats place to be. the bathroom was clean and had full time hot water. the electricity did go off a couple of times but they have generator back up
Staff:
The staff was very nice and understanding. they spoke well and always greeted us.
Food:
we had the breakfast in the ground floor restaurant Feast in which they has a good food. Lunch and dinner we had in the island dine and wine restaurant in which we ordered complete malwani seafood which deserves special mention, which was made perfect. room service was good as well, the butter chicken was authentic. the food was of good quality and quite taste. the desserts were good too.
Room Tip: Back side facing rooms have a better view and are quieter
Stayed: July 2017, travelled as a couple

Quite Simply the Best Hotel on the Mumbai to Goa Highway

I have cycled the route from Bombay to Goa and back at least once a year for the last 30 years. Heaven arrived early when the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra decided to build this fine stopover palace. The rooms are all that a weary traveller might desire while the food rates approximately 10 out of 10. I always leave the hotel at 6.00 a.m. and this is one of the only provincial hotels in India where you can rely on a totally sumptuous room service breakfast being provided on time. During holiday periods, you definitely need to book in advance.
