Okay hotel with good breakfast

Got this hotel through a concert package. Check in staff were confused as to whether I had a reservation as I did not have a reservation number. Apparently the Japanese travel company that handled my reservation may have slightly dropped the ball, but was resolved eventually. It was a one night stay with a single double bed. Personally, I didn't like it as they gave me a smoking room apparently and the bed was on the hard side. I'm a non-smoker and can tolerate cigarette smoke for short periods of time before I start developing a headache. I managed to sleep fine.
Breakfast was about the only positive part of the hotel and it was very quiet. The hotel doesn't have an actual restaurant but just a breakfast room. Being that I was the only person at 7 in the morning; the breakfast staff watched me eating like a hawk. I felt very uncomfortable for about 10 minutes until other guests started arriving. The breakfast was all Japanese with a bento box, tofu and miso soup, and the usual morning drinks.
As you are given a regular key vice a keycard, you are required to give the key back to the front desk before you leave the hotel temporarily, and then provide them with the room number you're in.
Would I stay here again? I'm not really sure unless the hotel made improvements.
Dark, noisy and depressing

We stayed here for two nights, and it was the worst part of our 3 weeks of travelling in Japan. The bed was hard as stone, the room extremely small, dark and with a depressing view of a roof filled with litter. There was so much noise we could barely sleep and we were happy to finally leave. Can't recommend this to anyone.

A really nice hotel. Rooms were small but clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful even though their English wasn't great. Would recommend this hotel as a base for exploring or shopping. I would definitely stay here again. Similar standard to premier inn.
Clean and comfortable room

About 1 minute walk from Exit C4 of Bakurocho Station. The room given to me was very clean and though it was a single room, the bed was a big bed. As the room was small, there was not much extra space around. I have stayed in different hotels in Japan and I find this hotel's rooms very comfortable. All my friends' rooms are quite similar to mine. There is a small fridge in the room. The bathrooms are the same as the other hotels' - small and clean. From Haneda Airport, I took the Asakusa LIne to Asakusabashi Station, Exit A3 and walked. With my luggage, Exit A3 is better as I could use the escalator. The nearer exit is A2 but there are only steps. We flew home from Narita Airport. From the hotel to Narita airport, it is more convenient to take the Sobu Line from Bakurocho Station, ask the station staff for the schedule for the direct train to Narita, and which platform. Tokyo has very complicated subway/railway network. The signages are not very fantastic. It is very easy to get lost in the station.
Clean small hotel

Room was really small but clean and functioning. It was close to the metro station. When I stayed in April, it was hot inside the hotel. I think I was told that either AC can't run or something like that. I stayed just one night, so can't complain much.
