Came here on our last night and Iâd say there are much better options in Reykjavik. The hotel is clean and the bed is comfortable but thatâs about all the positives I can say about the stay.
Issue 1: The water and the room smelled of rotten eggs. It was nauseating to take a shower or be in the bathroom. There was an overwhelming smell of rotten eggs. Seriously both my wife and I gagged multiple times while in the room and bathroom.
Issue 2: The staff when we checked in was very friendly but unfortunately when we checked out in the early in morning the man that was working was extremely rude and unprofessional. We didnât bring up any issues about the room and was just trying to check out. Either we caught him on a bad morning or I think that customer service might not be the profession for him.
Overall it was not a good experience and have stayed in better hotels in Reykjavik. Iâd suggest skipping over this one and staying elsewhere.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights last week at the end of our Iceland trip. We had a wonderful junior suite at the top with a balcony and great views over the city. It was very cold when we were there but the room was warm. Reception staff very friendly and organised our transport to the airport. We took a taxi to the bus station and then the Fly bus to KeflavÃk Airport. Very easy. Took about an hour altogether. Would stay here again

Good location in Reykjavik but that is where the positives end. Had to change room as the shower area stank. Had to then ask for shampoo and soap as none were in the bath room. NOT what you expect from a hotel. The decor needs updating as the paint is peeling and bathrooms are tired. On the positive side, the restaurant in the same building but not part of the hotel was very good.

Hotel was nice, clean and in a great location. The staff behind the front desk was extremely rude. We arrived at 7:30am (before Check-In time, which we knew) but had a couple questions about our room... the man behind the desk was very rude and extremely unhelpful. I understand that he was just coming off a night shift but by no means does that give him the right to be disrespectful to guests. I will not stay here again because of this experience. When you come to a new place, you want to feel welcomed. NOT unwelcome.

The hotel is in a great location (delicious place nearby called cafe loki with rye bread icecream!). When we arrived, we encountered an unfriendly woman at the reception which was a little unsettling, considering we just came off a red eye flight. Check in time was 2 pm which is fine, but we felt rushed out of the hotel by this woman when we were putting away our luggage. I also felt uncomfortable sitting in the lobby and could hear the woman arguing over the phone with a customer. However, there was a very friendly man at the counter so maybe the woman was having a bad day.
The rooms are very mediocre and were a little dirty, but overall good enough for a one night stay.
