We have booked this hotel for our stay in Amsterdam during new year. Unfortunately I have to say that I am very dissapointed about this hotel.
* The hotel is not very central, it takes about 20min to go downtown by the tram + a 7 min walk (Of course you know that before you book the hotel. So that is not the reason for my poor rating)
* The hotel rooms are fine, but in my opinion clearly not 5 *. For example: when you take a shower, the whole bathroom gets flooded (incl toillets). The AC is not working properly, the light control is far away from being handy, the fittings are a bit old-style
* There is a spa, which is quite okey for a city hotel. However, what clearly bothered me and made my stay very disappointing is the fact that there were only 10 (!) sun ares at the pool. There werent many people in the spa (maybe 20 or 25), but more than the half of them were not able find a place to lie or even sit down. I had to sit on the floor! Complaining at the pool boy did not made the situation better: he did not even try to organise more seets or sun ares.
Because of these points I would rate this hotel as a good 4* but far away of a Leading Hotel of the World or even a 5*.

Amazing hotel with a really phenomenal restaurant. This place is located right on a little canal and is very scenic especially around sunrise when the light and colors over the canal are special. The rooms are small but comfortable and the bathroom is larger than I expected. The beds are very comfortable and because this hotel is kind of out of the way it is very quiet at night so sleeping is no problem. Since it is out of the main downtown area it makes getting around to the various sights a bit more difficult especially at night when the busses and trains are not as regular, other then that I would highly recommend this place, expensive, but worth the price for the quality.

Very polite and helpful staff. Superb dining. 20 min walk from busy area. Very lush interior and would stay here again for sure.
Close to airport so very easy to Uber anywhere you want to go.
Air con was not cool enough however we visited the weather was unusually hot and sunny to which I am informed by the Dutch residents as extremely rare.

We (a family of three) thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay here. First of all, we arrived way before check in (around 8:30 in the morning) but despite the early arrival they had a room ready for us so we could freshen up and change before we left for our day's excursions. Secondly, that first night we had reservations at Ciel Bleu (which is one of the reasons we stayed at this hotel). Our daughter however wanted to stay in the room and watch a movie so we ordered room service for her. After a while, I realized it was taking much too long. So we called again and they sent food up right away and without having to say a word they apologized and gave us the food on the house. Other reasons we loved this hotel was because of its pool and sauna and they also didnât charge us extra for the rollaway bed for our daughter. Furthermore, the room was spacious, clean, and beautiful with fantastic cityscape views (we stayed in a superior junior suite). The final day after we checked out we felt comfortable storing our luggage with them the entire day since we had a late departure. Each employee we encountered was service minded. We left happy we chose this hotel because although we were initially concerned about its location, we left feeling that it was part of the charm, especially when travelling as a family, and it's other perks more than made up for it.

We stayed here two days prior to Viking River cruise. Very nice hotel! Was in a great location as we could walk either direction and find shops and other restaurants. We were also close to bus stops to take farther into town. The staff was very helpful with all our silly questions and gave us any info or maps that we would need to explore! Room was great. Super clean and any issue you had, they were there in no time! Morning buffet always available and 3 other restaurants for dinner.
We really enjoyed our stay!
