This hotel was suggested as a good one for Karad but after a night's stay I would say it is anything to write home about. The location, for one, is very tricky for someone new and depending on GPS. Coming in from Kolhapur you either have to take the correct service road or drive against traffic for a short while to reach the place. We ended up almost driving to Satara searching for a way back after overshooting the junction!. The hotel itself was being repaired judging from the pulled out wiring and dirty walls, but the rooms and the amenities were fine-even excellent. Room service too was good. The restaurant below was crowded and the reason was clear - good food although expensive. Good ambience too. But when it came to the complimentary break fast the next morning, my opinion changed. We were led to a dingy restaurant in the adjacent building to order for plain stuff served in drab environs. Not at all what was expected for the tariff they charged.

Karad is a small town with very limited stay options and high demand during holiday or wedding season (seems it is a wedding destination for people in the surrounding area). As such it is always a challenge to find a decent bed at a decent price here..
I had stayed at Pankaj earlier and picked it up again for an overnight stay after a very long time. The reason for not picking it up in the interim was non-availability and it becoming a bit run down.
The hotel seems to be undergoing a transformation now and work is currently ongoing. The changes look a bit positive. Coming to the review and ratings, must admit that they are based on my recent stay...

Situated just off the highway it is an excellent location. Provides ample parking space. Easily reachable from both Pune and Kolhapur side of the highway. The flip side of being bang off the highway is no bar/lounge! The hotel had a bar earlier but with the recent regulation limiting sale of alcohol on the highways it is now closed
Note: If you are coming from Kolhapur you shall have to take an underpass just as you are about to exit Karad and then take the service road
Rooms & Facilities: 3.5/5
The rooms are very well done with good amenities and made the stay overnight really comfortable. Small niggles here and there seem to be a constant experience in all these small hotels and you may experience a dodgy air conditioner here or there.

The food is edible but the joints are just too messy. A bit of a disappointment after the good impact the rooms had made

Bang on Pune -Bangalore highway and just short of Karad this place is worth staying for short stays. Rooms were nicely done up and clean. Staff at reception and hose keeping were polite and friendly. They have veg restaurant which serves excellent veg Thali which is worth trying. Breakfast(south indian) was also delicious.Overall its nice clean and hygienic place and its worth taking a halt rather than going to millions of third rate and filthy Dhabas enroute

Good place for a short stays with family.
We had taken the standard non ac room, which I felt was slightly overpriced.
They have a decent restaurant which serves a Gujarati thali and also have a ala carte Punjabi menu too.

This hotel is @1.5 km before Karad on NH4 from Pune to Karad. It is ok types hotel.
If one is travelling to Goa / Konkan, then this is midway stop.
The restaurants are ok. One is a la Carte ,which serves South Indian, Punjabi etc. And the other one is thali restaurant. One gets value for money meals here. Service is good and polite.
We took a stop on our way to Ratnagiri last week.
We ordered standard south Indian breakfast, Idli, Wada, Dosa etc. The food was ok. Tea was good
The rooms are nothing special. Just average types.
They have enough parking place and since it is bang on highway, you do not need to take any time consuming detour .
