Arrived late morning as we had planned to walk from the hotel to marazion/st Michael 's mount that day. Luckily our room was ready so we were able to dump our stuff. Fantastic view of sea towards st Michael 's mount. Train station very close by but didn't hear any train noise. Approximately 6mile return walk to marazion & back right by the sea. When got back @ 3pm there was complimentary cake & refreshments which was very welcome! The food at this hotel was lovely...compliments to the chef. The bar/restaurant area overlooks the bay (& their outdoor swimming pool) so great views whilst supping a beer/cocktail. There is 2-4-1 cocktails between 5&6pm and lovely they were too. The staff are lovely and friendly. We ate in the restaurant as part of our groupon deal and I had fish...lovely thick chunk! Had breads to begin with and with the main no room for dessert. We then walked 10minutes to the town and found a pub. Breakfast next morning was veg with huge choices of cereal, continental, English breakfast, poached, scrambled, eggs florentine....too much choice to remember! I would recommend this hotel wholeheartedly and hope to return.

Excellent room,The room was clean and fresh and a lovely view from our window , definitely recommend this hotel ,The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, we stay nonly 1 night but it was great..

Even Cornish people stay here. The rooms and food are excellent and if you are travelling by train this is the perfect place for you. Penzance is a really good base for every sort of holiday. It has something to offer everyone. Parking can be a little tight so be sure to book a slot. All the staff are extremely helpful and the service is excellent.

We stayed for 2 nights. Occupancy was low as out of season. The room we had was a good size and reasonably quiet. Their is a restaurant but we did not eat there. The parking was OK but limited and I would think is problematic if the hotel had more people staying. Off site parking looks to be very limited.

Never having ventured deeper into Cornwall than Truro, it seemed that it was time to have a winter break in the far Southwest--and why not Penzance? A very, very good choice, given it was January and very much off-season and new territory to discover--all within a 4½ train journey from home. TripAdvisor provided the basis for the decision to look at Hotel Penzance, and this was confirmed by looking at this hotel's website: they were offering a winter break of 3 nights for the price of 2 (who wouldn't book this?). All in all, a perfect stay--convenient to Penzance Station, lovely views over the harbour and Mount's Bay, a very comfortable, well-appointed room with a view, lovely breakfasts and 2 dinners there, too; pleasant, professional staff. What it might be like in the season, I won't know, but for a January visit, it was perfect. Thank you, Hotel Penzance!
