The location of this hotel was for me superb. Sat at the end of the pedestrianised area . A short walk through the town to the lift station with the skim lockers beneath.The town is lovely with some wonderful shops and bars. The Hotel!.
The food was great, hot and tasty with a good choice on offer. the Ah la carte night was great with a superb steak. The Breakfast was the usual cold buffet choice as normal in most Austrian Hotels. The staff were great, Noami was most helpful as was the bar staff. The beer and wine was great too. Our room was on the third floor and was quite spacious with a nice bath. It was dated though and needs upgrading. Both chairs in our room were broken. At one point I trod on the carpet join and get 3 prongs from a Carpet gripper in my foot ! ouch!!!. My sisters room next door was modern with a superb shower. It was reasonably quiet at night and the beds were good. With all the rooms upgraded i would happily go back but they do need doing asap.

The location is excellent and the staff are friendly. However, unlike some other reviewers I found the hotel/gasthof to be average. The food, in the main, was very average and the room as very dusty and not cleaned well during our stay. If you stayed outside of half term this might seem good value for half board.
The skiing was good despite the very warm temps and as there were no experts in the party, the terrain was fine.

Return visit to the Kirchenwirt . Still the same winning formula. Our room was refurbished since our last visit and suited the makeover. Plenty of storage space and nice bathroom. Food is plentiful with a choice of up to 8 main courses at dinner. The staff are all friendly and work hard to make your stay an enjoyable one. Wi-fi is free and excellent throughout the hotel.

Had excellent week skiing february half term. Old fashioned hotel, great location close to centre and gondola. Great staff especially Rainier and Naomi who looked after us really well. Lovely food, comfy beds, only downside is no lift, but would definitely stay again.

January 5 lads on a ski trip. Great service from welcoming staff. Good local beer and food and great location. It's old and traditional but I like it like that and spotlessly clean. Except the day of the night race when hundreds of revellers wrecked the town :) . Austrian efficiency next morning and all returned to normal in no time. Excellent would recommend.
