My husband and I can confidently recommend this downtown hotel within short walking distances of museums, shops, restuarants and bars. Clean rooms, broad spread for breakfast with a licensed bar and restaurant. All of the staff were professional with a good sense of humour and could not be more obliging or helpful. Although this hotel does not offer on-site parking, do not allow this fact to dissuade you from staying should you be travelling by car.

My partbee and I stayed here for 3 nights when visiting. The prices in Reykjavik are quite high for accommodation so I was slightly dubious as to what to expect as this was one of the cheaper hotels I found. As the minibus from the airport was dropping passengers off at each hostel/B&B I was becoming slightly anxious as to what ours would be like (always the dreaded moment of truth!). I can honestly say it was the prettiest hotel I saw in the city and the location was spot on. It looks really traditional, in no way commercialised which I loved. Staff were very helpful and polite. We didn't eat at the restaurant but it looked very nice and the hotel offered a discount for visitors stopping at the hotel. Overall it exceeded my expectations and I would return if going back to the city.

A very nice and conveniently located city centre hotel, with easy access to the main roads in and out of the city centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our deluxe room was spacious, well appointed and clean. There are two small P1 parking zones within metres of the hotel which was ideal as we had hired a car. Super fish and chips in the hotel bar.

Second time using this hotel and it is highly recommended....Stayed here a number of years back just after they opened, and still as friendly as ever, spotlessly clean, efficient staff, and good food and drink. Centrally located with lots of shopping, pubs and restaurants within a short walk.

Very pleased with this hotel. Great location, close to the main thoroughfare etc, but also quiet. Reasonable room size for a city centre hotel, but could do with being a little bigger so you can get around the bed with someone sat at the desk. Rooms very modern and clean, excellent breakfast, friendly staff.
Would get 5* if the rooms were a little bigger and if it had a bath (to be fair, both are available but at a higher cost).
