We stayed at this place as a stopover to see family. This place is just ok... On the plus side, there was hot water for showers and the staff was kind and accommodating. It was fairly clean, but the towels felt like they still had soap in them, the bathroom lighting was passable, but not optimal. The door locks were definitely questionable as just about anyone could break in. The worst was that the rooms were smoking rooms, so you could smell the smoke the whole time. Initially, it was difficult to tell because of the pollution, but at night you could smell it. The A/C units were put into the walls, and you could see the gaps around the units. Being on the 2nd floor definitely gave us a lot of noise and pollution. It was ok, but if I could find a better hotel in Jalgaon, I'd chose that one...Having traveled through India most of my life and especially in the last 20 years having traveled more as a tourist, it is clear that there are cities in India which have progressed quite nicely - improved airports, hotels, service, staff, etc. but Jalgaon seems to be stuck in time. All of India is moving forward, why not Jalgaon?
Silver Palace, one of the GOOD budget hotels in Jalgaon

Hotel Royal palace will appear among the few names that you would be recommended to you loacally if you ask for a decent hotel in Jalgaon. This is botique hotel apprx 3 km from Jalgaon railway station, facing Mahabal road.
The hotel has 22 rooms and has a decent lobby and has has attractive facade. I first stayed in this hotel 6 years back and that time the restaurnat was serving only veg meals, now there is a bar + non veg food too.
Rooms are adequately sized, houses a twin bed, a double seater sofa, wardrobe and an 18 inch LCD TV and a mini bar (without anything inside it but working). The bed sheets could have been kept cleaner. There was dust on the room furnitures when we checked in and we got it cleaned immediately on complaint. They informed that there is work going on as they are adding upo more rooms to the hotel.
The bath room was comparably bigger in size but lacked feel good factor. There was no proper ventillation in the bathroom hence after a hot water shower, it was all steamy inside, lighting was not adequate and there was no place to keep the toilet pouch other than on wash basin. I wish the management will improve on this.
The veg restaurant they had earlier was now made to a bar, and one separate family restaurant is also added which also serves Drinks, if you are with family. The bar have no separate smoking area hence non smokers will find this not very comfortable to sit inside. The food quality is just okay. The tea and coffee served at our request in room had an overdose of sugar, so I ordered hot water, tea bag and sugar separately on second day, but the water was not hot. The breakfast was decent in taste and varieties. The hotel is comparably more occupied during winter season due to tourist inflow to Ajanta. This hotel seems to be preferred by many people for their business tour due to location and reasonably good stay.
The hotel lacks professionalism though they offer reasonably good service. During booking of rooms, I requested them to send me an booking confirmation on my mobile but that never happened, but rooms were available on my arrival as there was fewer guests that day.
This is a reasonably good hotel for your stay at Jalgaon. I rate this Hotel 'Good'.
Good for value

Overall an average hotel with all basic amenities , good value for money in Jalgaon, food is also good. Staff is helpful. Location is also convenient. Better than many hotels in Jalgaon. Rooms are spacious.
Moderately good

This is an average hotel. The rooms are nice but a bit mucky. The staff is very kind and helpful. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel. The food quality is good enough. You won't need to go out in search of food.
Tip: Try to book a room that has a roadside view. We were lucky to have got a similar room. And the sunrise view from the room was impressive!

This is the second time I am staying in this hotel. This time, i am alone and while I felt asleep early because of an exhausting day, I received a call at 10.30 pm offering massages!!!!
This is the first time in India it happens to me. What kind of respect do they have for women in this hotel?
