We had booked two rooms. The hotel is completely outdated. The reception is dark and dingy, located at the farthest end of the reception hall. The decor was very poor, not welcoming at all. The rooms were very poorly lit and not maintained well. The glass panes were riddled with birds' droppings (see photo); the window panes of the bathroom were almost dropping off; the toilet water jet was completely clogged, because of hardwater; The temperature of central AC could not be adjusted. Electric kettle was not provided, after much persuasion we were given one kettle.
The decor of the restaurant was like the rest of the Hotel -poorly lit and dingy. But the food was not bad. There were a variety of items for breakfast. Food and the staff were the only saving grace of this place.
Such efficient staff are wasted in a rundown place like this.

If your very purpose of visiting Madurai is to pay visit to the Temple alone, for heavens sake please don't select this Hotel for your stay, as there are plenty of better & cheaper Hotels, near to the Temple, rather than this Hotel. Auto's charge around Rs. 80 to drop near the Temple from this Hotel.
I choose this Hotel, under the misconception that, as I read it in some website that, this Hotel has centralized A/C & this is a business Hotel, I was under the impression that this Hotel may be good. However after landing in this Hotel only, I came to know that this is a very old/aged property (please see the photos, which I have attached to this review, to you have the proper idea). You will be utterly disappointed, like me, if you stay in this Hotel, by paying Two thousand & odd Rupees, as I did.
However the only solace thing about this Hotel was that the morning breakfast had few varieties & the taste of the food was also not bad

The hotel was booked with the package with Yatra. The hotel is good and loved my stay there for a day. My check in was on 10th July and check out was on 11th July, the food is also good and also had complementary breakfast included in the package. Liked and also loved my stay there.

Excellent hotel.
Good location of the hotel.
Hot water available in the morning.
Good clean room.
Room was ac but also well ventillated if windows are open... good outside view.
Room service available.
Food is good.
Hotel has own restaurant inside.
Complimentary buffet breakfast.
Good wifi speed, free wifi facility.
Staff is good and prompt service.
They arranged my rameshwaram day trip by car, ... driver was also good.. .
Even arranged my madurai airport drop by car.
The Meenakshi amman temple was also just 10 minutes away by auto ric.
Overall pleasant experience at the hotel.

This hotel is easily accessible. Rooms were quite spacious and in old style. Good maintenance and room service. Particularly in restaurant, I came across courteous staffs, who prepared food for us even after hours. Parking facility is good enough.
