The Hotel Sarovar Regency, Amritsar is very near to the Golden Temple. Probably 50 meters away. Hotel room is small. We stayed in deluxe double room. We asked for a extra cot, they gave us a folding bed with mattress and pillow, so nice of them. Te hotel had no restaurant when we stayed (Dec 30, 2017). They said that it was under renovation. But it has room service arrangement of your food. Overall a good stay. Recommended.

An average Indian hotel close to the Golden Temple (perfect location), we stayed for 3 nights. Most staff were helpful and friendly, especially the lovely young lady on reception and the doorman. It is tucked down a small, easy to walk alley, but was not terribly quiet at night for the rooms on the side adjacent to another hotel where people coming and going could easy be heard at any time of day or night. Beds were comfortable enough and room reasonably clean, just a little dull, could use a bit of TLC. Reason to select this hotel would be location.

The hotel is very close to the golden temple. I did not find any hotel that is that close to the golden temple. If you want to visit the temple frequently then this is the ideal hotel. It is also a good hotel for a short stay ,but if you are coming for temple reasons then also the hotel is good. We just came for a short stay and it was good.

Good hotel for a stay for one or two days. Golden temple is just in two minutes walk. Good supportive and cooperative staff members. Clean room. One who want to visit Golden temple and do shopping in nearby markets, I recommend it.

This property is at a stone throw distance from Golden Temple and fits the purpose.
1) Nice clean rooms, I opted for triple occupancy room and was provided a extra bed with the fleece blanket.
2) Lift is there hence no issue for elders.
3) Rooms doesn't have view but that is not the USP of the hotel. USP is proximity to the Golden temple.
4) Have in house kitchen.
I recommend it as you can visit golden temple and queen's walk type market as many times you want without hassles of hiring auto or taxi. We visited golden temple multiple times and it was worth to pay few bucks extra as you can make maximum of your stay then.
