Surprisingly Nice Hotel

The city of Bhuj is not so daunting for someone traveling from a metro city. Driving through the Airport Ring Road, which is a busy road connecting multiple other cities and small town to Bhuj, you see this Hotel quaintly tucked on the side. It may seem like a building under construction but do not let it confuse you, head straight in through the well-secured gate into the driveway of the Hotel, and trust me you will not be disappointed.
Hotel SevenSky stands at a medium height, with decently furnished and embellished reception and entrance. The check-in mechanism is fairly routine and in no time will you be given your keys. Walk through the lobby that is situated right in front of the restaurant, towards an open courtyard surrounded by rooms on the sides.
We were allotted ground floor rooms right near the lobby entrance. There was not much to see in the courtyard compound it was pretty dry, but given the climate in that region, I wouldn't blame the hotel, although would have preferred some greenery or plantations.
As you enter the room, you are truly surprised. A room equipped with all amenities that one requires for a comfortable stay. Wooden paneled furniture was blending well with simple white painted walls and marble flooring. The lightning was adequate for brightening up the room and functional in usage. The most important feature of any room - the bathroom. The bathroom was sizable and clean with basic toiletries laid out for your perusal. One thing that I found amiss was shower curtains, considering they have sperate space for shower, the lack of curtain causes the water to spill out resulting in greasy floors. Each room has a solar heater which provides hot water during the day, but the water tends to get lukewarm in the night, and if like me you plan to take an early morning shower, the water will be bone-chilling, especially when you are staying there in winters.
The room can comfortably accommodate 3 guests as there is ample space for an extra bedding as well. The wall size glass window overlooking another backyard adds to the decor of the room, however, the backyard is not well maintained, so it is preferable to keep the blinds/curtains on. The room also provides basic amenity of a Kettle, and tea & coffee options, don't expect an extravagant spread, but it is sufficient for a cup!
One major disappointing factor was wifi - it is only available for free in the lobby. Given the room tariffs and ratings of the hotel, I was expecting free wifi in the room, as the phone networks were also not too clear in the room for the 4G to function in its optimum speed.
Moving over to the restaurant of the hotel, it is considered as one of the good places to eat in Bhuj. The decor and spacing of the restaurant are decent, however, it seems a little too dark, a few bright lights would be nice to highlight the space. The staff in the restaurant was quite cordial and most of them are from Orissa which was honestly surprising. There may be a little issue in communication with them since they may not be extremely fluent in English. However, one tip, make sure you break down your request and clearly explain to them what you want, be patient and allow them a chance to understand your request. The food is also decent however, I did find it a little spicy for my taste. But they made sure to serve us our meal hot, even though we had placed the order from our room and arrived a little late for the dinner. The menu at the restaurant is also good, with decent options. Breakfast is included in the room tariff but lunch and dinner have to be separately paid for in case you decide to eat in the restaurant. I was a little disappointed by the breakfast spread, I was expecting a little-varied breakfast spread. In addition, the tea and coffee were being served in a thermocol cup which I highly dislike. Not only that it is a hazardous product to use also you don't expect to be served in a thermocol cup at a 4 start hotel.
Overall, my experience at this hotel was quite good, we stayed here for a night and we got a really good deal too. The hotel is good for people looking at a layover stay majorly those traveling for business purpose. It is a comfortable hotel and I would not mind staying here again, but I would expect better maintenance and upkeep for the property in general.
The staff was pretty cordial and I am thankful to them for making sure we have a comfotable stay with them.

Couple Traveler, booked for 1 night. Old property, new rooms being constructed in annexe. We stayed in the Annexe where rooms are being constructed ( Room no 501 and 502). Room size is big, since new room, so condition of the room is above average. other rooms in the hotel are small and not very clean. The approach to the room 501 is pathetic at the moment as construction is going on above floors. Overall property on a big plot with Mall and Dmart close by. Decent if you get the room for around RS 2000- 2500. We didnt have any meal at the property so cannot comment. Other good options in bhuj are Regenta and Click hotel.

one of the most conveniently situated hotel which is near to the airport as well as the railway station. Food quality was good but the spread of the buffet was too less so they can improve by putting more item in buffet
Poorly maintained hotel.

We went for a family holidays. We went for two days on a family holidays. The check in was smooth and the staff was very cooperarive. The resort was quiet pleasing. We faced a problem with the maintanance of the room and food. The bedsheets were quiet uncleaned and the washrooms too were quiet uncleaned.Locker was not working. When we went out in the morning on the 2nd day and returned in the evening, we were alarmed to see our rooms as we had left. The housekeeping had not done their job.We had to request them for fresh towels, napkins and drinking water bottles.Even the Ac was not working. The food served in the restaurant was really not upto the mark. They served that is cheapeset available to them.Utensils they used were all plastic which is not good for health. We had to ask for tissue papers (not on the table)! Overall not very good experience to stay here after spending a huge amount. This is a place for class masses not classes so choose accordingly.
Poorly maintained and poor service

This hotel is very old. All the rooms initially allotted to us were sub par and smelly. the manager changed our rooms after we complained. the breakfast was not in buffet and they put unnecessary conditions on what can be ordered or not and took a long time to provide what we ordered. the food was strictly ok. the staff in the restaurant and in general was not courteous and in fact lacked basic knowledge of the hotel itself. the swimming pool is not functioning. the room cushion bedsheets were very old and torn. hot water came on and off. the TV they provide is DD direct which has only free limited channels. for providing drop to station they put a condition on number of people and we were so exhausted complaining that while check out we just let it go. they test your patience. not recommended at all
