Genuinely for me it is a home away from home so much so that when I'm quickly passing through Jaipur I think nothing of booking even for a single night as I know I will get a good nights rest and feel all round safe. Don't let the homestay location put you off its ideally placed to access many of Jaipur's highlights ,if walking isn't your your thing though ,rickshaws take around 15 minutes to get into the city. I could go on and on,don't worry I wont! Suffice to stay Ive enjoyed my many vists to this home stay and when there has been a slight problem ,it's been quickly remedied,so if there is one please say ,nobody is a mindreader. Lastly there were a few times I was out quite a bit later at night than I had originally said ,the homestay rang to see if I was okay; home away from homeâ.
OK, but let's be clear on some things...

Do not book via the website. I booked two separate dates, neither where on their records when I arrived. I may have lucked out if the hotel was all booked out when I arrived. Secondly, as others, have mentioned, there is no wifi despite what they mentioned on their website. Thirdly, some rooms have A/C, others don't. If you want it, you will need to ensure it is installed in your booked room.
Other than that, I found the rooms, restuarant and bar to be ok for the price I paid (2200INR). There can be some language barriers with the staff, but they are mostly courteous and happy to help, a lot better than other places I stayed during my time in India.
Not impressive ... not value for money at all..... won't ever visit again

Not a very good experience @ surabhi palace. They mentioned in their site for wi-fi but there is no wifi at all. When asked at the reception they said they don't give wifi just have mentioned on website. Rooms are filled with wall mounted racks which is not required it already has cupboard. Too heavy furnitures it almost leaves room with very less space to walk. Bathroom has water clogging problem. It becomes almost swimming pool after every shower. Being next to road its very difficult to get sound sleep. Also, a ringing phone in any of the room or in lounge will just not let you sleep peacefully. I have stayed in much much better places with all the modern facilities in what I paid at Surabhi Palace that also after the discount.

Positives:
+ Centrally located in the city very near to Rly Station (10 min.drive)
+ Spacious Rooms and bathrooms
+ Courteous staff
+ Reasonably good quality bed and bath linen.
Negatives:
+ Old construction and not very well maintained
+ Poor Hygiene (Washrooms were not cleaned properly, choked drainage and water seepage in and outside rooms)
+ Unpleasant smell all over the building (lifts, corridor)
+ Out of 4 - 5 hrs I stayed, no electricity for 2 -3 hrs and for rest of the time no AC.
