Budapest was experiencing a heatwave and the hotel was not equipped!! We had one measly fan for our room which had our family of four in it. Curtains which didn't close and we're hanging off the rail. In my opinion it wasn't clean, the sofa bed was in fact a camp bed with broken slats and we ended up sleeping with two mattresses on the floor!!
The breakfast was terrible, very little choice. The coffee was OK though.
The location was OK. And perhaps had it been cooler then it wouldn't have been so awful. Didn't find the staff particularly helpful, in some instances they were downright rude.

The room I stayed in (#11) was recently renovated and is clean and done up to a high standard. It was very comfortable and met all of my needs. However, I believe the hotel is currently being renovated and, from what I gathered from other guests, other rooms are not as nice. Also, there is no air conditioning in the hotel (but for me this wasn't a deal breaker). The hotel is located close to the centre (Pest side), and within a short walk to the nicest riverbank bars and restaurants.
Hotel staff were very helpful and very friendly. So, based on my experience and the price (~£21.50 per night, excluding breakfast), I would definitely recommend this place.

Our experience from check in to check out was fantastic. All the staff worked hard, were friendly and helpful and made our trip easier. The hotel is near everything, once you get your bearings. The twin room was spotless with plenty of room and a safe. The bathroom was clean and big enough. The location was off the busy roads so quiet at night. Would recommend and definitely return.

Very decent experience. In fact, this is very average hotel, but excellent choice for the money we paid. It's located in very quiet part of Budapest, in Ferencvaros, but close to the main ring of the city. The room was basic, tidy and clean, with free safe and free wi-fi. The breakfast is in the neighbour building, very basic and the same every day (we stayed 4 nights) - boiled eggs and omelet, cheap salami, two kinds of cheese, one kind of sweet bread, jam, coffee and cheap tea.
But, we wouldn't have problem to come here again!

Clean and rather big size room. Breakfast was nice at next door restaurant. The area around (10- 15 min walking) has many bars and restaurants. The hotel is rather far from city center. Walking 15-20 min. The street that hotel is located is quiet and safe. Near by there is a big sm (aldi). Is a nice, economical and 3 stars hotel. Staff was kind, friendly and polite. Every time we asked something they were very helpful. What else if somebody plans to see Budapest?
