We had a very comfortable stay. The guy at the reception was extremely courteous. He allowed me to view the 2 suites and then choose which I preferred. He also helped me decide my lunch and dinner menu for the 5 nights I was there. And I was not disappointed. My apologies, I haven't the christian guy's name. The in-house restaurant, again forgotten the name, was excellent. Loved the coffee there. We would order fry fish every single day and yet couldn't get enough of it. But that's just a minor problem. The location is good too. Waking distance to all shopping area, to the old Taj Mahal hotel and Milagres Church. A couple of cons, hot water is time restricted. We were not aware of this and ended up wasting so much water the first day waiting for hot water to come. The lighting in the dining area is very poor. Buffet is complimentary and was repetitive. By end of the trip was bored looking at the same spread. Apart from these there were no concerns at all. Had a lovely time there and will defy recommend.

A good budget hotel at the heart of the city, helpful staff
Personally didn't like the food there , not a great place for lunch or dinner
Complementary breakfast is decent but most of the items are a repeat and if you do end up staying for more than 3 days there you will be bored with the breakfast
Good spacious rooms and neat clean and spacious bathrooms as well
Lock in the hotel is an issue you have to call someone everytime you need to open the door

This hotel is situated in the heart of the city.
Pros
Location. You can get so much shopping nearby.
Reception support is good.
Cons
1. Hot water facility is not good. You need to waste at least 3 buckets of water to get light warm water.
2. Nobody helps you to carry your luggage.
3. Breakfast is average.

This was my 4th visit in 5 years to Veenu International. Location wise you cannot ask for a better address than this at Mangalore since it's centrally located close to Hampankatta (the city center). The rooms are clean ; spacious with a large bathroom. The Hotel provides complimentary breakfast and though the spread is not too large it becomes repetitive as majority of the items re-appear on the buffet table. Since this was my 4th visit, the staff especially Mr Girish, the Manager ensured that I had a trouble free stay in an upgraded room. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Mangalore and looking for VFM (Value for Money) stay. The rooms are reasonably priced compared to the quality of room and service. I will visit this place again.

Pros: Staffs are helpful
Cons: very small room and not so comfortable bed.
Card reader of the room was not working and they donât bother to inform guest also...breakfast quality is poor.
Definitely not value for money.
