Located in the Dotonburi area the hotel is close to everything (shops, restaurants, bars, shopping, metro,...). If you like day and night animation, this is the place to be.
The hotel was pleasant and despite everything calm. Our rooms were at one of the top floor. The rooms were quite large, clean and confortable with a beautiful view of Osaka skyline.
The breakfast buffet was well stocked and plentiful.
The staff was welcoming and helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Namba.

Located very near to Shinsaibashi and Dotombori, with several bars, shops and eateries along the streets. I liked for a fact that guests can access 7Eleven directly in the hotel lobby - makes it super convenient for late night supper and drinks!
Room was nice and comfortable. It was very well equipped with everything you need - from toiletries to mobile phone for you as navigator around Osaka.

I was asked by the hotel site to review this hotel but it wasn't published. The following is what I submitted to hotel.
It is not in a handy position with respect to the nearest subway stations, Namba & Shinsaibashi, both being about 10 minutes walk from the hotel but longer during holiday times because it is a busy shopping area and the streets were packed.
The breakfast is served in the attached restaurant not suited to self serve breakfast. The restaurant when it is run as an Italian restaurant at night is very good.
When I arrived, the front desk said I had reserved 2 rooms. After a nail-biting 5 minute wait while the desk person consulted a colleague then the manager everything was OK. Thank heavens I had a printout of my confirming email.
This was the most expensive hotel I stayed at during my 4 hotel, 2 week stay in Japan but it was far from the best.

Stayed for five nights. Room canât be considered big but definitely sufficient in size (bigger than typical Tokyo hotels) for two 28 inch luggage.
Good location since itâs right at DÅtonbori. Finding food is not a problem at all.
Staff canât really speak English but at least could understand basic words and were helpful in general.
Some disadvantage would be it still require a five minute walk to train station. We indicated to change the bedsheet on our third and forth night of stay but the sheet wasnât changed (we could still see the same stain on the sheet night after night! Otherwise, would definitely recommend this hotel.

If you're staying in the heart of Dotonburi area, know that you won't get away from any hustle or bustle. So, if you're trying to find somewhere quiet - it is not in the middle of Dotonburi. For us however, we wanted to be nearest to Dotonburi to enjoy late night walks and watching the abundance of lights from shops and restaurants.
Holiday Inn Namba was just literally 3-4 min slow walk to the Glico Running Man and Shinsaibashi Shopping District. Go out, turn right and walk straight till you see H&M and you are right smack in the center / heart of Dotonburi. I personally liked it. I was travelling with my husband, sister and mom who had to be on the wheelchair most of the time. So the location was a definite plus for convenience and distance.
Rooms was up to expectation - a tablet cum handheld device is also given in each room for a quick guide of Osaka, easy calls for booking restaurants and internet use for those not wanting to waste battery life of their own mobile devices.
There were so many eating places around this area, food is definitely not a problem. Since we are Muslims, we also preferred halal eateries which many can be found nearby as well. Just log into Halal Gourmet and google map!
Will definitely recommend this hotel to those wanting to be in the heart of Osaka!
