The hotel is located at a very good location....right on the famous 'Dal Lake'. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is very courteous. The place is near to Shankaracharya temple and market. Recommended for stay.

Very good budget hotel facing Dal lake. I stayed 5 nights from 2.1.2016 to 5.1.2016.
Hotel is good specially food is very delicious. If you stay, please try Kashmiri Non veg Pulao if your are non- Vegetarian.

I stayed in the hotel for 1 day, after having shifted out of the previous one on account of its less than satisfactory location.
Zabarvan is situated bang on the Boulevard which makes commute to any part of Srinagar quite easy.
As regards the hotel, I got a pretty good deal it being the off-season. However, most standard rooms are pretty small and not suited to families. While the hotel claims lake facing rooms, the view of the lake from most of its rooms is through an extended window on its sides and is not front facing.
The bathrooms are spacious but quite old, the white tiles giving an impression of old toilet blocks built in Government owned premises.
Had a good stay overall.

Decent budget hotel located at a convenient location near Dal Gate. The hotel is just opposite Ghat No.4. Not for people who are looking for a quite and secluded location, but perfect for someone who plans to set their base at Srinagar and travel to the more scenic locations within Srinagar. Ideal location to unwind, as it's right at the narrow stretch of the Dal lake. You can go for a short evening Shikhara ride or a stroll along the Boulevard on this stretch even late at night after returning from Pahalgam/Gulmarg/Sonmarg. The rooms are pretty basic and are nothing great, but it's got all the basic necessities and is decently clean. The wifi wasn't working when we were there. They've got a pretty good rooftop restaurant from where you can enjoy your meals while overlooking the Dal lake.

Very friendly staff especially Shabeer. If you are good to them they are 100% more hospitable towards you. Decent room and bathroom. We stayed there for 4 days. The food is brilliant. The roof top ambience with a view of dal lake is the icing on the cake.
