The rooms are very small and when we arrived the hotel we were disappointed .. We wanted to eat something at night and we called the room service. Room service didnt answer. We knew the hotel has 5 stars but room servise turned back to us and they said to us that nothing to eat!!! There wasnt even a small sandwich!!! Also their behaviors are so bad. I couldnt advice anyone else this hotel. Moreover the hotel so bad but very expensive than similars.. dont go...

I stayed here for two weeks, and I can positively say that my stay here was more than just a stay in a hotel.
The staff were courteous, mindful of my needs, and helpful. Unfortunately, I lost my luggage on the way to Paris. The hotel helped me deal with the situation by calling the airline every day on my behalf. The manager of the hotel went out of his way to write a letter to the airline for me should I need it while claiming reimbursement. Generally, my needs were accommodated well.
There were many useful amenities, including free WiFi, free laundry service, free continental breakfast, and access to a kitchen. The use of a kitchen and access to a refrigerator makes it easy to store groceries. There were several flyers prepared by the hotel that helped me plan my visit and see more of the city. The staff were also happy to answer my questions.
During my stay here over New Years, the hotel organized a little party and also directed guests to good places to visit for the holiday. The staff want to help you see and experience Paris.
The beds were quite comfortable. You can also open the windows to let cool air in.
One thing that might turn people off is the lack of an elevator, which may be especially taxing if you stay on the higher floors, but I got used to it pretty quickly.
The hotel is in a convenient location right next to the Musee Cluny and a 10-15 minute walk from Notre Dame, about 5 minutes from the Pantheon. Staying here makes it very easy to see the Latin quarter!
Great hotel with amenities

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and comfortable with a great window that opened to let fresh air in. The shower was separate but very close. It was large, clean and had plenty of hot water. They even gave us shampoo and body wash packets and plenty of towels. The hotel offered use of its washer and dryer which was wonderful because we were traveling for many days. The breakfast room was being renovated which was noisy during the day, but we were gone anyway, so it wasn't a bother. The free breakfast of bread, juice and coffee was temporarily located a very short walk down the street at a restaurant; the service was wonderful, and everything was delicious. On the last day of our stay, we had to catch an early train, so they packed us a breakfast to go. The hotel also has a lounge area with an electric kettle, instant coffee, and tea and a refrigerator and microwave which guests can use. We didn't use the kitchen, but use of the kitchen was also available. We had no complaints and will recommend this hotel to anyone we know going to Paris.
Excellent affordable hotel for a family, in the heart of Paris

We just returned from our stay at Hotel Marignan (we stayed there in November, in a family room, with private bathroom). Let me preface this by saying that we are not experienced international travelers, and that I have children with special needs (a toddler and a teenager), which makes things challenging when it is time to go on vacation. I was thinking to book at an American chain in Paris, but I researched a lot and trusted the reviews I read on this website, and finally decided to stay at an affordable parisian hotel, so that I can experience the true flavor of local Paris from many angles.
I am grateful for Hotel Marignan: They were excellent from their welcoming at the lobby, up until the last day!
They are close to everything: If you are reading my review, there's a chance you saw their location on a map, so needless to say, you are in the center of Paris. And within walking distance to the RER station (which is not metro, but a the type of stations with the sub-burban trains that is extremely convenient).
Our bedroom was clean and comfortable. We got a family room and our private bathroom was impeccable. We were right next to their common WC and we were not disturbed with any bad smell at all. It was very pleasant. At night, it was cold outside, but we were warm and cozy in our beds. We washed our laundry, which was heaven sent because I spilled coffee over my coat, by mistake, at the entrance of the hotel. They cleaned everything, and made me feel at ease, and again: The laundry was heaven sent, that's like the cherry on top!
In addition, even after we checked out, they allowed us to leave our luggage with them, so that we can squeeze more time in the City of Light, before taking the train to the airport.
They are doing some renovations to their lobby area, but you wont find this a problem at all: They re-route their guests efficiently, and they still provide a wonderful breakfast a few steps away, just around the corner from the hotel.
I really have zero complaints, and 100% praise and satisfaction as a costumer. Highly recommended to any family!
Great location, great staff, snug rooms - all with fresh croissants for breakfast.

Our group of one married couple and four friends stayed at the Hotel Marignan. We had a room with an en suite bathroom. While our room was snug and on the fourth floor up the narrow staircase we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I agree with all the other good things posted by other reviewers. Although, the room was small it was well organized. There were four drawers in the bathroom, very nice for toiletries used daily. The heated towel rack in the bathroom was so nice. The closet had five nice shelves. We placed the extra blankets and pillows on top of the wardrobe so had the use of these shelves. One of the beds was slightly elevated so suitcases could be stored under the bed as most clothes were now on the closet shelves.Yes, the stairs are present and fairly steep but one only takes up the luggage one time. The water in the shower was always hot. The croissants were always fresh. They are delivered daily by a local boulangerie. None of those baked yesterday and heated in the microwave imitation croissants. We bought our tickets for a Seine cruise from the hotel, saving us three euro's per ticket. I had previously arranged transport to and from the airport but a shuttle service can be arranged by the hotel at a reasonable cost. We saw travelers of all ages at this hotel. Families with children, senior citizens like ourselves, young people capable of taking the steps two at at time. The hotel has a variety of size rooms, some with bath tub, some with showers and some with facilities in thehall - so they can accommodate a group of four, families , single visitors, etc. The opportunity to use the laundry was an added bonus. Much appreciated by ourselves and those who sat next to us on the airplane. A special treat was our visit to the near by Maubert Open Air Market during a relaxing Tuesday morning before walking to Notre Dame and Sainte Chappelle. Enjoyed excellent food at the Le Pre Verre restaurant, you may want to make a reservation. Also, good plat du jour and snacks at the Le Village Ronsard Cafe - so nice they serve all day long as we didn't arrive at the usual dinner hour.
