We made our reservation for this hotel online, so you never really know what you are going to get! The Hulsman was just so perfect!! The location was ideal for walking back and forth through the town, visiting cafes, etc, etc. It was right in the middle of everything! The lobby was traditionally decorated for Christmas and oh so cozy to enjoy a glass of wine from the bar on a rainy evening. The hotel is old, but the rooms were plenty spacious enough, and included a kettle for a cup of tea or coffee. The wifi was also excellent in the room and the lobby. AND, the breakfast was very nice! I wouldn't just recommend this hotel, I really really want to go back!!

Came here with partner and friends, the hotel is absolutely spotless, gorgeous decor all over. The breakfast was lovely with so much to choose from and well replenished. A lovely family run establishment and right in the heart of the beautiful town. You wont find a warmer welcome. We sat down for breakfast 30 minutes before it starts ( by accident) and not one word was said they just filled up the hot selection of scrambled eggs, lardons and boiled eggs. Rooms are very clean, we had a lovely waterfall shower. Very reasonable price as well so would definitely recommens

I like hotels that are as described and this one ticks all the boxes excepting parking. Clean rooms with friendly staff and an excellent breakfast made our one night stay in December a pleasure and I would definitely recommend the Hulsmans.
Parking is a problem and the car park opposite is expensive so we dropped our cases off and parked down off the Burgmeester Henssingel. Valkenburg itself is a small attractive town with some excellent restaurants & bars.

This hotel is perfectly situated one minutes walk into the town centre. Very friendly welcoming staff, most appear to be members of the owners family. Rooms slightly dated but have all of the amenities and clean. Breakfast was very good. Thank you very much and enjoyable stay.

This family-run hotel has a good location in the centre of Valkenburg near restaurants and shops. I was allowed to park my motorbike in the hotel's outdoor area and staff moved garden furniture to make room for it. My room was clean and comfortable with an excellent en suite shower. The continental breakfast had plenty of choice. I left some property in the room which was promptly forwarded to me in the UK. I am very grateful to Mr and Mrs Hulsman for their hospitality and exemplary customer service.
