stayed at the mirador chrismas 2017 with 2 other couples we all found it awful FOOD never cooked never ever warm put you food on your plate the put it in the microwave thats never right entertainment shocking animation team non existent they never put even a cd on over christmas have been traveling abroad for 40 years this place is the pits what was meant to be a special holiday turned out to be a night mare keep away from this hotel at all costs

My husband and I stayed here recently. The hotel itself is very clean and modern. All the staff were very friendly and always willing to help. The rooms were basic but fine. The food was a bit of a let down. Nothing was ever hot. Even a fried egg in the morning was cold???There was a very poor selection especially at evening time. There was always a queue for every counter. Deserts were terrible no selection what so ever. Breakfast was not much better. Lovely hotel and great staff and great location but food was very poor. Definitely not a four star. We have stayed in better three star and hotels.

Room 56..We stayed for 11 nights from the 16th December 2017, the staff are brilliant can't fault any of them, the rooms are very comfortable clean sheets every other day clean towels every day. We have stayed here before when it was a Iberostar and it was excellent then but unfortunately this time we were disappointed with the quality of the food and it was never very warm breakfast lunch and dinner nothing was hot... . Some nights it was difficult to put a meal together it seemed very bitty.... The entertainment was just as bad there wasn't any atmosphere in the day and the night got worse. The animation team weren't good. One night they had 3 men from outside who sang opera and they were brilliant, Christmas Eve there wasn't nothing not even a Christmas cd. We did speak to management about our concerns and she agreed there had a lot of complaints over the Christmas period and it would be looked into. I really hope they do as we would love to go back next year but really unsure at the moment as to if we should. Please Mirador sort these problems out.... people love this hotel and you are letting them down and you are letting your staff down as they can't work any harder for you. The Christmas Gala night was nice but not to your usual standard.,

Had a week away in Lanzarote before Christmas and booked this through Jet 2. We normally go self-catering but got such a good deal we thought we'd try half board and if it didn't work out we would just eat out. Hotel is beyond the marina and the walk in took around 10 minutes and a further 10 -15 into the town. Nice walkway all along.
We had a family room although it was only the two of us. It is a bit dated but was always kept clean, as was the pool area outside. The big balcony did not get the sun but had a smaller alternative out of the bedroom that got the sun all day.
I've seen mixed reviews of the food but I cannot complain given the price paid. Breakfast selection was wide with breads, cheese and meat, selection of salads and fruit with s good selection of hot items, with freshly cooked eggs and omelettes if you wanted them. As we were half board we also had dinner. We thought the choice was fine most nights. Always options of items cooked in front of you, like bream, razor clams, swordfish, lamb chops and steak. There was always fish and meat stews, with a good selection of vegetables to go with them. My wife also enjoyed the range of salads that were always available. Agree the sweets were not great but then again it's not something that bothers me and there was always a decent range of cheese.
All in all, I thought it was value for money.

Holidayed here in early December and the weather was great. The staff in this hotel are the most pleasant and cheerful of any we've stayed in - anywhere. The staff are a credit to the hotel. The hotel is kept very clean and although in a quiet area there is a shuffle bus running into town several times a day. It is a lovely coastal walk of around 15 minutes to the Marina and a further 10 minutes into town centre if you want to walk which we did most days, but the shuttle bus is handy and always seemed to be right on time. There is a huge variety of foods both at breakfast and dinner but we found it to be mostly lukewarm, which spoiled things a bit. Our bedroom was on the ground floor overlooking the pool area which was very pleasant - (free safe and fridge). The room was quite spacious as was the bathroom. Enjoyed a lovely 2 weeks at this hotel, enjoyed Playa Blanca - only reservation, and it is a minor one, was the food.
