The room was dirty.. it badly needs refurbishing.. carpet was so dirty! There is no airconditioning, so if the heater gets too hot, you have to open the windows. And then you get all the noise outside, honking of cars, etc.
They badly need training on customer service. They have a poster stating that they have a van to get you to the touristy places. Upon checking, it is not available because their van is broken.. then why was it still being posted in the first place? We opted to get the welcome drinks on our last day - but bar is closed on Sunday. And again, no effort of at least making it up to us. Since bar is closed, then we cannot get our welcome drinks. I have been in several Novotel hotels since I am an Accor member. This is the worst.

Great location!
Just a few steps away from Myeongdong and situated right opposite Lotte and Lotte Young Plaza! Airport shuttle stops right outside the hotel, and nearest subway would be Euljiro il-ga (Green Line).

Basically I like the location. The Front office staff is friendly and do speak English pretty well. Even the Concierge team speaks pretty good English too.
Breakfast is pretty ordinary as compare to Ibis Sapporo. Restaurant staff is kind of snobbish.
Other than that, I am happy to stay in this Hotel.

Very convenient hotel for exploring Myeongdong, just walk out the door and you can find shopping and street food in abundance.
The rooms are decent and beds are comfortable. Water cooler and hot water dispenser available on every floor is quite convenient. Not much of a view as my windows look out at an office tower. Breakfast is simple with mix of korean and western fare.
Check in is on the 19th floor but there is a concierge at ground floor that is very helpful.
Gym is currently being renovated

Sleep quality: 5 stars
Staff: 5 stars (no complaints here)
Value for money: 4 stars (other hotels in the area cheaper)
I would recommend this hotel.
