Central location but an old style Ibis. Wifi did not work, the buffet breakfast was pretty basic, and the room was noisy on the main road. Refurbishment double glassing for the noise would be useful. The Ibis Style was much superior but slightly further out but easier access for the old City of Carcassone

The hotel room I would only rate as average, but that's not a criticism. yes its small, but it was clean, no smells and extremely well located to stroll to the old town of Carcassonne.
I chose it because it was only a "bed for the night" and for that purpose it represented great value. The breakfast was outstanding and Place Gambetta is close to many restaurants. Overall I chose to rate it as very good, but for convenience and breakfast rather than room size and facilities. The only problem is getting from the train station to the hotel as its a bit far to walk (especially in summer) and it seems that the taxi drivers take lunch breaks together, so a long wait is inevitable if its midday. The walk across the bridge to the old town is not far and close to a main entry gate. By mid afternoon the place is packed with tourist buses, so my advice is to go early.

Spent a long weekend in Carcassone. Rooms are a little small, staff is friendly and that helps a lot. Breakfast is sufficient - I do like my sausages so they were missed. Eating out in the evening has to be done early at this time of year. Restaurants close early! Once, your in your feed. Otherwise it's a microwaved evening meal at the hotel. Having said all that, I would stay again because of the friendly staff. From the floorplans it seems as though 1st floor rooms maybe slightly bigger.

A very convenient property to walk up to the lower gate of the cite over the pont. The room is small but at a very basic price. The breakfast is very good and the location is excellent. Parking is available at the understanding opposite the hotel. Not far to walk to the market square for great dinners

We stayed at this friendly clean Ibis Hotel during a visit to carcasonne .
The hotel is ideally situated between the Citeâ de Ville and the town of Carcasonne .
Our room was quite small but enough for a short break .
The bed was comfy and had an excellent shower .
We enjoyed the continental breakfast which had an excellent choice .
The staff were very pleasant and helpful .
Overall a great place to stay .
