What People are saying

Good value for money

Lovinmambo on 09/02/2018 23:42

We visited for 3 nights

Request for high floor room was granted and check in was quick, infact the receptionist had finished her shift and as one of her colleagues was dealing with a telephone she took off her coat and checked us in which was very efficient

Our room was large and looked like it had been recently carpeted and decorated , the bedding was spotless as was the bathroom, but I do have to mention although the bathroom was clean unfortunately there was a smell of urine I'm not sure if there is a issue with the drainage but it could do with being looked into as it's not very pleasant but it's certainly isn't down to a lack of cleaning

Breakfast was included in our booking I got a discount as a accor member , I have to be honest and say that I didn't think the breakfast was worth the 10.50 Euro daily charge , there isn't a great amount of food but it is regularly topped up so everything is fresh and hot but it just doesn't look like a great amount of food

The location is a bit far out of Dublin but this is reflected in the price you pay for a room , Red cow luas stop is just under a ten minute walk from the hotel, infact you can actually see the hotel from the stop you walk through the car park and cross the large moterway bridge to get to the hotel

Strongly recommend purchasing a visitor leapcard we purchased the 72 hour one for 19.90 Euro per person we could use it in the 747 service from Dublin airport to the centre of Dublin and on the luas, dart and bus services it saves a fortune on fares and we certainly got value for money

Typical Ibishotel, with rather big rooms.

HannahTulling on 09/02/2018 11:06

The hotel is a typical Ibishotel, but the room was rather big. A second chair would have been very handy though! Now one of us had to sit on the bed; and with such a large room, there would have been place enough. The hotel is rather far from the centre of town, but there is a direct tram going there (on 5 minutes walking distance).
In the night there was some disturbance when people came home, slamming the doors. The first night the fire-alarm even went on suddenly, which was a bit frightening. Fortunately it stopped soon...
The restaurant is okay, but a bit simple.

Disappointed

Lane B on 27/01/2018 19:27

Lovely staff. Good location. Quiet at night. Room 319,matress cover had what appeared like urine stains. Black hairs in the bathroom sink. Dark brown "carpet" very off putting considering the condition of the bed linen. Not good ! Window could Not be closed as stays were broken. Blackout blind badly stained

Reasonably priced budget hotel in Dublin

BNapotnik on 23/01/2018 12:14

Considering the fact that hotels in Dublin's city centre can be really expensive, Ibis Dublin is a good alternative. A bit far from the centre but not too far either, with a direct tram connection. Rooms are basic but clean and spacious. Breakfast is okay. Staff is nice and friendly. We arrived before standard check-in time and were given our room straight away. After check-out they provide you with a free luggage storage. Would stay here again.

Poor Conditions- Nice Breakfast

Conor C on 22/01/2018 22:34

We checked into our room and as soon as we entered the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. The smoke detector was covered with a bag to stop the alarm system from sounding. On the floor all around the room was covered in what only I could describe as mud patches. The bottom of the sofa bed was covered in soil also. We had to ask a member of staff to change our room as I was shocked at the conditions of our particular room. However, the breakfast the next morning was nice. Priced reasonably at €10.50. In my past experiences of Ibis was it was kept to a reasonable standard. However after this substandard experience I don’t think I’ll be back.
