When you travel a lot for work and you stay in a lot of hotels, you realize what you really value for your stay. At the beginning when I was traveling I used to book in Ibis hotels since they used to be cheap, well located and offer what was necessary.
Over the years this has been changing, prices are no longer so cheap and, although it depends on the city, cleaning has been decreasing. At the same time they put inexperienced young people to work, what they do is make mistakes and waste the client's time. They will be "cheap" people who for three euros make them work 12 hours a day doing everything. As it happens in Spain.
Total, clueless and unprofessional workers (but they were friendly, the conditions in which they work is not their fault, hopefully and they raised their salary). But that did not take away the fact that they were wrong all the time.
At first the rooms seem clean but little by little when you start to fix you realize that it is only superficial. Sheets and towels with hairs and fluffs, tarzan houses under the bed, in my bed it seemed that someone had fallen before me because it was undone, the decor is depressing ...
When you get to sleep and you wait for breakfast to improve everything, MEC error, wrong. Breakfast will be even worse. You can choose from a wide assortment of foods for a nursing home. It seems that you have high cholesterol, diabetes and a myriad of diseases for which you only get that kind of food so basic and without grace. As if you have breakfast in a hospital.
The price seemed very high for an Ibis. In short, it had taken a long time to return to trust these hotels, just when I give them a chance ... They destroy it.
I prefer to sleep in the street rather than in an Ibis.

Well located. Has ample parking next door in the underground parking lot.
Nice rooms and basic comfort. Terrific breakfast and superb service. One of the best Ibis i have stayed in.
The free wifi also has good speed

Smell bad in the bathroom, cold in the room both when it comes to fysical and cosigness. Curtains on the way down and no feeling of anybody welcoming you. Nice breakfast with good choices as fresh orangejuice and good location

Stayed four days . On the positive side the rooms are clean and the hotel is centrally placed and you can walk to the shops, cafes and tourist sites . Our room was in the back on the second floor and was quiet. Staff friendly.
However, the rooms are small, the towels are thin and there is just a soap dispenser, so don't expect anything special. No tea making facilities and hardly any working TV channels (only CNN in English!) . Wifi is erratic! Breakfast is also fairly basis.
Price seems Ok at 79 euros a night, but add taxes 1.90 E, parking 12.50E and breakfast x 2 is 30E and B & B is over 123E a night, so not so cheap for a Nov break .

We came here last year and stayed again for a long weekend break. Great rooms, spotlessly clean, although basic, Not a bad breakfast and a good selection of beers on the bar.If you're into Belgian Beer the Gainsbar is just around the corner. No UK TV channels on the TV but if you remember to take a tablet and HDMI cable you can watch streamed BBC off the internet. Wifi connection is good enough for this.Take your own travel kettle too as there are no tea making facilities in the room - essential for us Brits.
