It was not out first time at this hotel. The friendliness of staff is remarkable but the hotel itself needs a full renovation: rooms, especially bathrooms including. Breakfast is good and the neighbourhood is exciting.

The hotel has its own parking garage so we had no problem leaving our rental car and exploring the city on foot and by public transport. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with advice. The breakfast buffet was rich and fresh. The rooms are a little small but tidy. The fully serve the purpose of the night retreat during a Lisbon exploration.

I have been on this hotel several times and I m always satisfied. The hotel is nice, close to my office and there are lot of restaurants around. Moreover, breakfast is really tasty, with everything we need.

This hotel offers very good service and accommodation at a very favorable rate. The staff is young and, perhaps, inexperienced but they try very hard and almost invariably meet the requests of their guests. The rooms - at least ours - are very small and a bit spartan. In exchange for lower rates expect to receive fewer of the amenities. Often, of course, amenities provide by more up-scale facilities are largely "for show" and not especially needed. Though small, the rooms were immaculate and the maid service deserves special praise (and I healthy tip)! The location within a block of one of Lisbon's delightful "squares" means there is good shopping and excellent restaurants within a few minutes walk. And the variety of cuisines - Indian to traditional Portuguese - make dining nearby easy and varied. We walked from the hotel to the center city but we enjoy walking and are in rather good shape, it is a matter of sixteen to twenty blocks and not for everyone. for those not so inclined, it is a short, inexpensive, taxi-ride to all the delights of the heart of Lisbon from the Castle of St. George to Alfama to the many shops and restaurants. One thing I advise visitors: skip the expense of breakfast! It is over-priced and poor in quality. However, though hardly haute cuisine, it is nice to have snacks and some more substantial dishes available at the bar 24-hours a day. The food is palatable, not pretentious, but rather expensive. In sum, this is a good place for those wishing to see-Lisbon-on-a-budget!

During our 3 night stay in the Ibis Lisbon Saldanha the hotel impressed mostly through its location. It's very centrally located and close to a subway station. A big Continente supermarket is only a 2min walk away.
We stayed in a standard double room and asked to change rooms as the first room we were given had a broken AC, was very very small with an awkward layout and a window that you could neither look out of nor open. The second room was slightly bigger though still quite small but with a better layout and most importantly with working AC and window. The staff were quite friendly and switching rooms was fairly easy.
All in all it was a good deal for the price. If you can though stay away from the hotel breakfast.
