So this hotel is actually about 10 minutes form central Reykjavik, donât let this turn you off. They offer a free bus pass, which runs like clockwork and itâs right at the front door. Also all the tours of Iceland will pick up and drop back off at the hotel. The staff are friendly, restaurant good and the rooms just right. Well worth it.

This is an older hotel outside of the town district near the domestic airport. It is somewhat dated but very clean and practical, no frills hotel. Rooms are average size and the bathrooms are very small with an awkward layout. Sink is right in front of the door so you must close it to use it. Shower stall is quite small with the clingy shower curtain when it gets wet (glass door would be more hygienic and practical). Bring your own hair dryer as the one in the bathroom only gets slightly warm at best and very 70âs style, hose mechanism. The hotel staff if very hospitable. Bring your own electrical converter as they only sell converters for $15 EA. They do offer free bus tickets for bus #5 that will transport you to town. There is a spa on site with a pool, but there is an entry fee plus charges for different services. One restaurant on site, the Satt which is very good and varied but the prices are a bit high. Dinner is only a buffet, no a la carte ordering, and the cost is $49 per person or $4900 Krona. No room service either. You may purchase sandwiches, fruit and assorted drinks in the lobby. Gift shop and conference rooms and a movie type venue are available. This hotel is about a 40 minute drive to international airport. There is plenty of parking spaces available. Rooms donât have a mini bar nor a safe.

We stayed here on our last night -we chose it as it had free parking . About 40 min drive to Keflavik airport. We had room facing carpark and were not disturbed by any noise . We had the buffet evening meal and breakfasts which were ok - with selection of vegetarian foods . I paid the 3000 krona extra to use the spa which was very quiet - clean and modern with wet and dry saunas - it was nice but would not have wanted to pay every day if we were staying longer .
About 15 min walk to city centre we did borrow the bus pass but as it was dry and sunny enjoyed the walk.

Hotel was ok, restaurant was shut for two days and food offered in conference room with two days of breakfast. Seating was a table of eight so not great. Hotel was tired and the week we were there renovations were happening on the 3rd floor so noisy . 20- 25 minute walk into town so you do feel a little out of all the action. Food was ok but not worth the money. Disappointed really. I wonât stay again when I return this year.

I booked a week here as a present for my wifeâs birthday. It could not have turned out better. Really nice and helpful staff. Clean rooms and lots of facilities. The spa is extra cost (Kr3000 per guest/day at time of review) but it was money well spent; a lovely spa with pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and a lovely rest area. We didnât use the gym but that is free to use.
Breakfast was included in the price and had a wonderful selection of just about everything you would want to eat. We ate at the hotel for a couple of the evening meals, both of which were perfect, again with huge selection of hot and cold foods.
There was a happy hour for a least two hours and just evenings, and you can earn a credit to be spent in the bar if you do not have your room cleaned every night. Well worth it!
We also made use of the bedtime story evening on Thursdays. A wonderful idea.
The hotel is situated about a 20 minute walk from the town centre, but that is not a problem as it is very easy to walk around the city and traffic is very light. It gave us an excuse to exercise each evening!
There is complimentary coffee and tea during the day at the reception area and plenty of areas to chill out.
I would definitely book to stay here again.
