I was told by Yatra Travels that the Imperial Palace is a 3* hotel, but the sad part was that the room provided to us, had hot water running only at some fixed time.
Also, the bathrooms were pathetic attaching the photographs for reference.
The room had a great view of the river.
Staffs are friendly but I carried my luggage up and down 15 steps while doing check-in and check-out,
we need to get their attention. if not requested room service fellows would just watch us and would not help us, proactively.
The food was average, not bad. Management was trying to do the best with the facilities they have got, but I believe its high time for the hotel to get a facelift as the location of the hotel is awesome and if a better service is provided, no clue this would be one among the best hotels in Manali.

I booked a package via Yatra and they offered us the stay in this hotel. Overall hotel service staff and food was good, but they lack cleanliness. My room category was Super Delux and it was not in good condition at all, dirty floor, torn blankets, bath tub leakage,

I stayed in this hotel from 11 April till 14 April. The pros and cons of hotel are as follows
Pros
1- Well behaved staffs
2- Good location and nice view from room
I will suggest to take room no.304 for the best view
3- Quality of food is good.
Cons
1- You have to climb quite a few stairs to reach reception and then if your room is on third floor then you will have a good workout in hotel itself
2- Frequent power cuts but they are of very low duration.
3- Also the rooms does not have AC may be due to manali weather but we found room getting hot during afternoon and fan was not of much help
4- currently renovation going on so if you are allergic to paint like me you will feel little discomfort due to paint smell
Conclusion
I liked the hotel as a whole. It is not a great hotel but a good hotel keeping in mind it's low cost room rent

Good unobstructed view of river Beas flowing below and mountains in front. Ideal for taking pictures.
Hotel is built on vast space on the hills; rooms are spacious; hot water flows even from wash basin tap; neatness is seen and felt everywhere (floor, furniture, bed, mattress, bath towels, bathroom, toilet)
Requires climbing of about 30 steps to reach reception or walking up over an inclined plane (route by which merchandise/groceries are brought to the hotel by cargo van); no lift inside the hotel; one has to walk up the stairs to the room which could be even on the 3rd floor (maximum).
Situated 3 km from Mall Road (the shopping centre of Manali). One may have to wait for bus at an adjacent area called Aleo, or autorickshaw to go to Mall Road. Auto fare Rs.80 to Rs.100.
Food quantity and variety in the restaurant just adequate; taste good.

Best place to stay in manali.. The staff is really helping and nice and a 10/10 for the hotel owner... The place is a complete package of neatness, good food, nice ambiance, heartwarming views, budget and it is very close to the mall road.. Rooms contain all the amenities one would require... Overall a good place to be in manali..
