Disappointing experience

Saturday evening 27th of January and we visited here for the international Food Festival 2018 which was being held here.
The event was being held in the massive party/wedding party venue, which consisted of a large circular area (dance floor) with a raise bandstand/stage. There was lots of tables and chairs around the edge of the dance floor, there were a lot of people there.
Part way up the steps in to the venue was a small reception desk where we had to queue to be admitted, our details taken to be entered into a prize draw. Once inside we were greeted, welcomed and shown to a table for 4, in total 14 of us were due to attend. In fairness they did their best and additional tables and chairs we cobbled together.
Once seated we got our bearings and headed to the bar for own welcome drink, included in the entry ticket along with the meal. Having queued at the bar, asked the bar tender for 2 beers, was told alcohol not included in the welcome drink. So had to go back to a kiosk, queue up (bit of a theme here) to purchase a voucher, then returning to queueing at the bar to redeem the voucher for 2 beers.
Near the main entrance there were a number of stalls serving starters/snacks including tiny little burgers, some skewers and other bite size food. There was a mighty long queue for this and was announced that this would be stopping in 2 minutes and people should move to the main food area around the pool, so no starters for us. (The festival did start at 18.30 and we got there and settled about 20.30).
The main area for the food was a number of kiosks around the pool area, there was a varied of foods from around the world on offer. There was no indication what way around people should go. Eventually we found out that the left hand side was the food which led on to the desserts on the other side. Some people decided to start at the desserts and walk in the wrong direction and were getting to the head of the queue at the kiosks, total confusion.
Eventually we got some food and returned to our table, the food was alright.
The pool and surrounding area looked rather tired and dated and in need of some attention. A lot of the stone paving stones were cracked or broken and the water in the pool scummy, not very inviting.
The gents toilets were rather grim.
At some stage in the evening the live band struck up and the dancing began. By 22.30 we had enough and left.
There were a large number of staff walking around but no one seemed to have a clue what to do, chaotic from start to finish.
Star resort at budget price

This resort is in South Goa on Madgaon highway. just 18 km from Airport. I stayed at Villa which is excellent spacious and equipped with all modern amenities. There are 2 3 beach in radius of 4 5km. so if looking star property at budget price please opt for this. Food is excellent with much much lesser price. Hotel arrange vehicle for site seeing too. I will recommend this resort.

while this property is not on the beach; Utorda beach is a 10 mins drive from this place. Rooms are clean; however mantenance is required and does not give the feeling of a fresh, new look. Breakfast option is limited. Food is ok. Hospitality is warm and friendly. this is a good budget property.
Good resort

This is nice resort for family. Specious and clean rooms. Good hospitality. Couple negative points are - there are no hotels or shops around. For meal, there are selected items. Food quality is also good.
Was a lovely resort

It's had all the makings of a great resort, so well laid out. The individual chalets are wonderful with balcony and living rooms. In house restaurant is quite good with their menu and pricing. The students tend to make a mockery of their service, sad to say. The resort had seen better days though and I am told that they are embarking on a upgrading exercise soon.
