Having enjoyed lunch the day before at the hotel's Astoria Restaurant we thought we would visit their Cardosas Bar for an evening drink. This hotel is elegant and luxurious. And staff are top class. On entering the hotel the waiter recognised us and was very welcoming. Drinks were well priced and we enjoyed a relaxed drink in a lovely environment.

I stayed here before walking the Portuguese Camino (and again at the end), and the people were incredibly friendly, the beds were comfortable, and it is right in the historic downtown area so it is super easy to walk and explore right from the door. An added bonus is that the train from the airport has a stop on the same block, so no problem getting to your room with baggage. They also had a pretty nice breakfast buffet to start the day off right!

Stayed at this hotel for girls trip and was excellent location and service! The breakfast was great and dark wood lobby bar were perfect. Rooms were spacious in size. The best was the location. Right by train station, shopping and restaurants. This is a very walkable city. Down near the river it becomes very touristy and I would prefer to stay in the heart of the city The river was walkable without a problem and we walked there from the hotel several days. Porto is an amazing city that all should have on their bucket list!

An amazing staff, warm, and friendly, catering to guests needs! Excellent concierge service; Had an amazing stay! I was alone and i felt really pampered! Great location in the middle of it all! Will definitely return!
